Agree that traffic is public enemy no. 1. It has virtually nothing to do with concessions or music. Many folks have to drive back to New Orleans and don't care to double their drive time. That said, those same folks will stay if it's a competitive game against a quality opponent.
But hey, it's 2016. The days of people staying in their seats due to nothing more than team loyalty are gone. And not just at LSU.

Having better fans

It hasn't been the same for a while. Corporate America is why. Most tickets are handed out to clients who have no financial investment in the game and only want to be entertained. They go a little while for atmosphere then leave after second tigers score. I know because I give some of those tickets to customers and they only want "A" games.

Usb ports in every seat so I can charge my phone

How about scanning tickets as people leave and those that are not scanned get triple TAF points toward priority seating for postseason games? Some kind of punishment for leaving and incentive to stay all in one, not just a carrot to make them stay!!

Just attended a baseball game at Fenway. The atmosphere and experience was great. I don't know if the experience at Fenway is typical of MLB but here is what stood out.
1. Excellent piped in music during breaks in the action. Music most everyone could sing along with. Classic music. Fans were dancing. (Between innings)
2. Excellent concessions including beer.
3. Professional concessionaires who obviously are well compensated for hawking the concessions.
4. Concessions DELIVERED to the fans on a constant basis. Our concession stands are run by novices raising money for a school/church group/charity. Nice but let's figure out another way to handle concessions.
5. Clean, comfortable restrooms.
6. The game started at 7:15 pm.
The traffic in Boston is terrible but everyone stayed to the end. Boston won 10-2. The game was never close.
These are all upgrades LSU can make easily. The most important upgrade however is for LSU to fire Miles. That takes leadership and forward thinking. Do we have that in FKA?

I would agree on the concession stand workers. It is always a cluster. Concessions on the West are better than the East side.
Bathrooms are horrible. Need definite facelift.
Student section clears out quicker than the chair backs. Obviously ticket price is not the factor there. I was there in the Dinardo years, and it seemed to always be packed no matter what.
There are always people around us that were either given the tickets or bought them outside. They leave early too.
Major reason reason people leave early is traffic. I just don't understand going at all to only stay an hour and a half. We drive two hours to be there. We stay unless the 3 and 5 year old become unbearable.

While I'm in favor of selling beer, it won't keep fans from leaving at halftime. They aren't going to pay $8 for a beer all night long.

Didn't seem to have a problem with it in Houston in 2014 or 2015 and sure as hell didn't mind it in Lambeau.

Ban tailgating.
Seriously. A lot of people are tired and/or hungover from tailgating all day.

In reality, better/affordable concessions and beer would help.
They'd stop selling beer in the 4th quarter so not sure it would help much.
Hanagriff was talking about this the other night and said it's a conference-wide problem, enough that they've formed a committee to try to come up with solutions.
I think one of the problems is TS, and maybe the other stadiums, are overbuilt. This last expansion may have been one too many.
And finally, people are just lazy, entitled POS's nowadays.

Do you think a losing record would keep fans in the stands?

Nifty door prizes that you have to be present to win.

This is the biggest headscratcher. People pay all this money, drive an hour+ to just stay for a half or 3/4 of a game.
I couldn't imagine spending all that time and money and then not even care enough to support their team for an entire game, seven times a year.
People bitch about the team and Miles' effort yet half our fans bail on them in a heartbeat.

How is that a problem if every seat, suite and stadium club seat is sold out before every season?
It's hot, traffic sucks, and the opponent sucks. It's not like there were people in the stands 10 years ago in this scenario. The stands won't empty out for a Bama, or Ole Piss, or a good UF or Auburn, or any other team that is having a good season like South Carolina 3 years ago.
The shitty games is the reason i don't get season tickets. I go to 1 or 2 crappy games with my 2 under 5 kids, one shitty SEC game in the stadium club with the wife, and then the 1 big game with friends. $600-$800 for the season usually.
Sell beer, play better opponents, and get a new coach. that's the answer.
