Haven't you heard? LSU is so poor that they can't even afford food for the basketball team.

he will be better than last, but he will be in a much better and deeper conference now.....he is probably a mid coach....on average. Wasn't he 9-9 his last year?

I get it. But you have to now evaluate the impact of that act with the potential benefit in this era of college sports. What Wade purportedly lied about (we don’t even know if he actually lied vs simply not cooperating in the investigation) is now not only “legal”, but a primary emphasis of the athletic department. Thus, there is no reason to worry about a “repeat offense” or reason to lie about paying players again. In fact, the AD will be HELPING a new coach pay players.

Soon enough an AD is going to hire Wade, and that AD won’t care at all that he allegedly paid players or kept that fact quiet. In fact, it’s going to be a BIG reason they hire him. In a world where the HC must be a great fundraiser/recruiter Wade has proven he can do just that

No Auburn fan cares at all that Bruce Pearl lied about paying players and I bet a strong number of Tennessee fans would be happy to have him back. Kelvin Sampson lied about recruiting to both Oklahoma and Indiana. I promise you, both fanbases would love to have him coaching their teams today.

Does LSU want to be the school that took the opportunity to get their successful coach back? Or do they want to stand on their principles and watch him win elsewhere?
