And as someone said above, where are the links where dabo says God picked Clemson to win over other teams?

Scroll up for quotes. Find your own links.

Alot of twisting by some people.

"Only God can do this" (in reference to a NC win). Nothing to "twist" there.

quote:

don't see you guys ridiculing the cowboys for the open roof so "God can watch His team"

Wait... are you saying that a board full of Saints fans has never ridiculed... the Cowboys?

Dabo is a good guy and a great coach. He makes it a point to giving glory to God so that everyone knows that his happiness doesn't come from winning football games. Something he will demonstrate on January 13th after LSU beats the shite out of his team and he "gives all the glory to God. And Joe Burrow."

Wow, the English from this child. This millennial generation is sad. They can't even say a sentence without a cuss word(s) anymore.

So that's what we're going to do today?

Fight about religion?

It's not Dabo's religion that people are making fun of

I'll make fun of it. It's for children. I won't take any adult seriously who has an imaginary friend in the sky.

it's the sheer arrogance, hubris and stupidity of purporting to know the will of a higher power

This is the definition of religion.

If it's God's work, then why make the players practice? Why does Dabo want the best players in recruiting? Why doesn't Dabo coach voluntarily? By his own admission, if it's the work of God, Dabo clearly doesn't deserve $9 million a year - wouldn't you say?

Do the Ohio State fans know that they must be a bunch of Satan worshipers for God to give the game to Clemson?

I’m a Christian and I have no problem with Dabo or anybody else thanking and praising The Lord. What I don’t like is saying on camera and to the team God wanted us to win. What happens when you lose a game are you going to say to the team in the locker room or on camera God wanted us to lose?

No problem here either, if you want to make yourself look like a idiot on TV, you're free to do so.

This. And this is the case EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU THANK GOD FOR ANYTHING.

He’d probably still thank God for the opportunity to play in the natty and compliment LSU.

Agree but that's not what they're doing. Dabo has taken it to a new level... Paraphrasing but basically saying things like 'they are favored by god' and 'them winning is god's will'. It rubs everyone the wrong way...

If God knows the past, Present and future, and He wills teams to victories then you believe in predestination. That would imply no free will for choices that are made to actually win a contest in anything. God already willed it so why study film and eat right ?

It makes no sense although the university of Notre Dame probably hypes that mantra to uneducated recruits.

I really think Dabo has been largely misinterpreted. And that is mostly Dabo's fault. If he is sincere he will absolutely give glory to God and praise LSU when Clemson loses. I'll hold my criticism until then.

Exactly. He's not no Ryan day. He's classy.
He will praise God if they win or lose
