81-88 (undergrad and law school). Football with Hilliard James gang, Eric Martin then Hodson and Company. Dale Brown had Basketball going and Skip starting to get baseball going. Could walk into the Box and sit behind home plate for Florida game in the early Skip years. What a journey that program has had.

Even with all of the success, baseball tickets were free for students when I was there in the 90s. So were basketball. You just needed a student ID. I think football was like $45 for the season.

Pistol Pete. Nothing compares
No Electronics to monitor you if you were in class or not, have a Brain take your test
“Suites” in the Stadium, lived naturally, no Air

2000-2005 saw a baseball natty, football natty, and the first half of a basketball season that ended with a Final Four birth. That would get my vote.

97-02 was legit. Graduated with zero student loan debt and had the time of my life.

Man in 97 tuition was like $1200 absent any sort of dorm expenses.

Started in August 2003 and graduated May 2007. Grad school from 2007-2009. Was an incredible time to be at LSU.

As one of those, as frequently branded, lowly fan who didn't attend LSU, this thread makes me very jealous lol

I think I was the last HS class that didn't have TOPS. Never lived on campus, but in apartments around campus.
It was relatively easy not to get into much debt if your parents could help you a little like mine did.

I was there 04-10 and figured that would have been a pretty hard time to beat as a sports fan.
Footballs most sustained run.
Baseball made its comeback with maineiri.
Then we ate so much free raising canes when a the basketball team scoring 80 got you a buy one box get one box with your ticket stub for 24 hours and we had the back to back tourney teams with the final four. $5.76 for a box with 5 big fingers and get one free.
can still remember the price because it you to dig for the change out my ash tray.
Then women’s ball went 5 straight final fours with semone and fowles.
Softball was legit at the time also and considered further up the pecking order probably in the SEC than these days.

I always felt a little guilty - seem arbitrary unfair
Also my dad was big reader not sure everyone in my class knew

87-92
Great basketball
Baseball was just getting started
Football was the worst period in lsu history. It was absolutely miserable. Awful. No fun at all in football.
Party time tho was awesome. Murphy’s, the Bengal, Fred’s and sports. Lived in Tiger plaza a year and walked over all the time

Yeah I was 96, but tuition used to be a good bit cheaper. My dad used to just write a check for it, and we weren't super rich or anything.

Yeah the $1200 sounds right
I think food plan probably $1k, Room $1,500, and books $500-800
Moved to East Campus Apartments as soon as built that might have been more
Moving off campus was a mistake
