he has a Heisman finalist throwing him the ball
Burrow had 439 pass attempts.
Hurts had 309 and also rushed for 1,200 yards.
Again, Chase should win, but if come to grips with the fact that the stats don't show a 1-to-1 comparison, Lamb is a legit contender.

sure
no one is saying he shouldn't have been a finalist

They only real cause of concern is that these rewards tend to go to Juniors or Seniors. So I could see Chase getting hurt there.

lol, you think voters are gonna take into account who is throwing him the ball?
"well Chase shouldn't get it because Burrow is too good and Lamb only has Hurts throwing to him"
Nobody cares.

But I also don't think it's this runaway thing that LSU fans want to believe.
ETA If Oklahoma threw the ball as much as LSU, I think they're stats would be pretty similar. Again, look at YPC.

Burrow is -50000 to win the Heisman.
I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Sophomore won it last year.

its not as runaway as Burrow with the Heisman
but again...Chase has the most yards and the most TDs
and he missed a game

Lamb is a finalist sure, but Chase bad a better season as was a better WR.
The fact that ole baw threw "highlights" as some measurable that voters would consider shows we are grabbing for straws here in some kind effort to prove Lamb was better.

If someone can make an argument that Chase's stats aren't even as good as they could have been because a guy as good as Jefferson was taking looks away from him, why can't I make the converse argument that CeeDee's stats could have been even better if he would have had a better throwing QB passing to him?

No voter would take this into consideration, would be asinine if they did.

...I was making that argument to show how dumb those types of arguments are

Yea but Jeudy ran away with it. I am not saying it will happen just that they do favor upperclassman. See Delpit.

SEC Office says the award will go to Bo Nix.

Why would it be asinine? Is this the best receiver or the most receiving stats award?
Lamb caught 26% of Hurts passes. Give Hurts the same number of completions as Burrow, that would come to around 89 catches. At 20.8 yards per catch, that's 1,849 yards. TD's.........take a guess.
You could adjust all of that by completion percentage comparisons, but Lamb wouldn't be a dumb choice.

Cee Dee is a media darling and weirdly more of a household name although Chase had the better season. Don’t be surprised if Chase is robbed.
Kind of agree. These awards usually go to the biggest names who are pushed as the front runners through the whole season. I don't think Chase is a household name yet as he really started to explode late in the year.

By pass attempts, Lamb caught 18% of Hurt's attempts, adjust to Burrow's attempts, comes out to 82 catches, 1,713 yards.
