But you seem to be missing the forest for the trees. I don’t care what the scheme is. If it’s not producing on the field, the coaches need to adapt and do something to produce

That is exactly the point. Until the next recruiting class you can't help an Oline that is getting beat physically.

At that point play calling DOES NOT MATTER!!!!!

That is exactly what happen against bama. Florida also to a lesser extent.

You realize these numbers are pretty terrible right? And you realize that these numbers are pretty greatly inflated because of a 7 OT game, where we started from the 25 every time.

Nope.

It is. A false start has nothing to do with team discipline.
The rest of your post has nothing to do with anything I commented on.

So your argument is nothing more than ad hominem attacks? Who is “dumb”? Another ignorant and/or stupid opinion. Nicely done.

I have 2

1) We have WRs that drop, weak OL, and average RBs. Outside of that, the scheme is good, and if ran well, can lead to victory in 11 games.

2) Notice I said 11 games? Game #12 is Alabama, and this scheme will not work against them unless we have EQUAL OR BETTER talent. And since Alabama has had the #1 recruiting class (or better than us) for about a decade, we're not going to catch them anytime soon.

Which means this scheme won't work against them, and we will continue to lose that game.

I understand that it's a risky thing to move away from something that will work over 90% of the time. We could take a step back if we're not careful.
But Miles was fired for this. Miles would have won 10 games this year, probably last year too. That wasn't cutting it anymore, we wanted to chase Bama again.

We've yet to commit to overhauling the offense as needed, in order to become competitive in THAT GAME. We saw yet again that the Tide can be scored on; Oklahoma put 34 up, and if they had our defense that game's a tossup.

Zero creativity with misdirection
His offense feels like you have to be better than the defense to be successful. His scheme does nothing to help confuse the defense.
Our screen game is more elementary than my pee wee teams.

Easy, it can't compete with Bama and it is just not entertaining to watch. If he didn't have a fantastic defensive coordinator, it would not work.

Uh yes... yes you can. Throw quick passes, hell multiple NFL teams have won the SB recently with frankly horrendous o-lines.

We would go into a lul in games. Start good, but get outscored in 3rd. Adjustments not made. Not using WRs to their potential all season. We were throwing fades to fricking Dillon. Your OC says the strength is the WRs yet couldn't figure out how to use them til the last game.

I was expecting some growing pains at first, but it didn't get much better. Delay of games, false starts. And just overall slow developing plays when we struggled on the online against better teams.

Basically took stuff from 16, the regime they fired.

Exactly, stop running playaction inside your own 20 when you can't even run the ball.

If you are okay with losing 3 games a year and not scoring any points against Alabama then yes, it does work doesn't it?

That is 100% false, or at least serious hyperbole

At no point did he call a rollout or move the pocket.

I watched every snap. If you prove we ran rollouts ill switch my stance from "never" to "not enough"

We never ran a designed rollout.

Burrow escaping the pocket isnt the same thing.

It’s lack of effectiveness against any defense with a pulse.
