What section is the band in for Texas game?

Hopefully in a section where I can hear neck through the TV.

Somewhere between 119 and 123

With the limited amount of tickets being given to LSU...are we even bringing the full band?

Upper deck, 119. Small pep band.

Probably not.. since UT are stingy a-holes and only released 3500 tickets, i doubt we’ll see the full band.
We can only hope that LSU returns the favor when UT visits Tiger Stadium next year.

i am sure that game will be moved to houston or some neutral site.

Doesn’t matter. You won’t even be able to hear them.

Same place as they put TCU’s band:

When they come to Baton Rouge next year we need to treat them like this. That’s ridiculous. frick Texas

Hopefully. LSU wouldn’t be stupid enough to trade a home game for one at a neutral site.

that picture of the TCU band is the full TCU band - we will only have a fraction of that which will be embarrassing for such a huge nationally televised prime time game. UT will bring their full band to LSU even if they are in the upper deck.

I agree, but the LSU administration made the decision to send the full band to Vandy instead. With the limited number of tickets available, I wasn't surprised by their choice. I believe that Texas will handle the situation in a similar manner in 2020, since LSU will only be giving them the same number of tickets they gave us. That said, it wouldn't siurprise me one bit if Texas brings all 400 plus members of the LHB to Baton Rouge.
What I don't understand is why they couldn't seat the band in temporary bleachers at field level. The Big 10 schools do it all the time. It would give the cheerleaders some friendly faces to interact with, since all of the visiting fans will be seated far away from the field.

WHERE would you place ' 400 temp. bleachers' at field level in Tiger stadium....hell there's barely enough room for all the players/staff and the DOZENS and DOZENS of sideline pass holders ?

Maybe not have dozens and dozens of people on the sidelines for one game? I don’t think that Texas will send 400 band members to Baton Rouge, but who knows? The full LHB travels to Dallas for the OU game and at least one other road game.

They chose Vandy because those were the cheapest tickets. Less money spent on tickets for the band means more money in the pockets of the school of music/Dean Queen.
Texas will probably bring their full band if they are allowed to perform at halftime. Woodward will have to decide if he wants to continue the Joe Alleva charade concerning the bands at halftime. Remember, Joe Alleva tried (and failed) to abolish ALL full band travel in the SEC. He presented this as a motion at the summer AD meeting in Destin and it failed. Joe did not have the balls to eliminate full band travel for the Tiger Band, so he attempted to make it an SEC policy. The issue concerning "sideline safety" was nothing more than a smokescreen intended to prevent visiting schools from bringing their full band.

Do y'all whine about TEXAS on here every day? Your bunch is getting as bad as aggy.

1. The LSU AD determines which games the full band goes to, not the Dean of the School of Music.
2. LSU should NEVER have agreed to play UTexass in Austin given these ridiculous fan/band circumstances. LSU has played all over the country and has never had such absurd restrictions given it by a home team.
3. I am hoping that LSU gives UT their 3000+ allotment in TS for 2020 all over the stadium. No more than 6 rows together in UE, US, and UW. Any size band UT could bring would be so spread out they couldn't see their own director.
