Anything less than 10-2 regular season and a good bowl game is a failure and should prove to everyone that O doesn’t have what it takes.

10-2 Is not an improvement, 11-1 should be the goal.
I live in Realville where Rush is Mayor. LSU will be the better team but will be out coached in 2 games.
They're not ready for 11-1.

I think it is a reasonable expectation but the thread isn’t asking what we expect. It’s asking what would be “ok”
10-2 (as long as one of those 2 isn’t a Troy type loss) is definitely OK.
I have disliked the O hire from the beginning and do not think he is a guy who can lead LSU to any sort of championship.
But if he goes 10-2 regular season and wins a good bowl game even I can’t argue that he should be fired or on the hot seat. That’s a good season by all but Alabama’s standards.

All records aren’t created equal. Three 1-3 point losses due to inconsistency with a new system may seem more encouraging than 10-2 with a fluke win thrown in there and getting manhandled by bama and another big boy. Injuries play a part as well.
So 9-3/ 10-2 while continuing to evolve in offense and the recruiting rolling along would be ok with me.

That is not going to cut it
9-3 needs to be considered a unanimous gigantic failure with our schedule and what we return.
