Pains me to say this, cause up to now I was CLM all the way. Amongst SEC coaches Les Miles is a Tier 2 Coach (bordering on Tier 3). He simply cannot adapt and much less adjust to game situations. On the Etling interception, hey the guy was a sub. If allowed he will improve. Etling is better game manager.....period.

You guys are so full of shite it has gotten comical.

JSU prepared for Harris, when DE came in it through them off for a bit. They made adjustments and shut it down
I disagree. They weren't prepared for what Cam threw at them in the second quarter. What we saw the second half was Les with the play sheet medaling once again. Let Cam call the offense with his pro style Qb and we'll be fine.

do believe this is how Miles thinks. All the passes right out of the gate had me thinking "Do they want him to fail?", then I thought "maybe Miles told Cam to do whatever he wants, and so he is doing so". After seeing how juvenile Miles acted, I think my first impulse was right, and that is why he had so much egg on his face.
This.

Do you really believe that?
What else can explain how differently the 2nd Qtr and the 2nd half played out. 2nd half - back to Miles' kinds of play calling. ??

I'm not too concerned with the int he threw. Dupre needs to fight for that one more

Yeah, not concerned. Good decision, but underthrown. However, the WR gave very little effort to adjust and fight for the ball.

Its this. The Purdue people warned us that Etling has a little bit of an interception problem.
The Auburn people warned us about Grimes' coaching O-Line problem, too. THIS is what holds this offense back.

This is what I told a buddy while watching the game. It doesn't matter if Etling actually does anything different than Harris or if he's any better, the point is that things simply went smoother when he came into the game. He provided a spark and all levels of play improved once he entered. Hopefully that continues if he continues as the starter

You are the worst poster on this board. Two days ago you were shitting all over etling and now this. Excuse me while I vomit.

Etling had the TEAM playing hard, they looked sluggish then he came in it's like they were playing to keep family members alive. Plus he had pocket awareness, great footwork, went through progressions, etc...Period!!

I just saw Aaron Rodgers TD pass to Jordy Nelson and his footwork was unbelieveable with pressure around him, just like Etling did last night on a few plays. He does not panick ike harris and WR are OPEN!!!!!

That's the comparison that came to my mind too last night. Etling=Aaron Rodgers. It's uncanny.

Etling had 3 TD drives in a row!!!! and 2 easy drops of passes, should have been 8-8 for about 150. One was Dupre with butterfingers. 3 did I say 3? Harris had 12 yards offense in the 1st Qtr and NO first downs!!! And a shitty performance last week and threw the int straight into that guys hands while in FG position- He lost the game right there, but collectively they lost it. But he was the starting QB and played like shite.

Are you Miles lovers BLIND? Etling had those 3 TD drives in a row because they opened up with 3-4 WR sets and mixed the play calling but he EXECUTED. And by executing, the defense was worried about the pass and the box was not loaded up with defenders. Noticed when it was 3rd and 10 (a normal passing down) they called a delayed draw play to Williams and he gained 17 yards. They had only 3 down linemen and 1 or 2 LB around the LOS. Yep, just 5 because they were worried Etling would dissect their arse.

And I believe the 2nd half Miles was going to be made an even more dooooffuuusssss, so he went back to the I and more predictable shite. Why do that? He is a selfish bastard. I believe all of the good man goodwill will quickly escape him as he pouted and looked as dejected as Harris. What kind of coach does that?

We don't need a superstar. What you saw in the second quarter is exactly what we need, fool.

Would also help if we played FCS schools every week.
JSU couldn't pressure him in the 2nd. First time he was pressured he threw a pick.

And the call was very questionable as Teheuma had his hands inside the shoulder pads

It wasn't a bad decision though. I'll take that type of picks over just bad decision type throws.

Everyone needs to pump the brakes on DE. Why? 1. Miles would have started him if there was a decided difference in the 2. I'm convinced of that.

That's the problem! Practice don't mean jack shite if you can't keep your composure when the big lights come on. Etling looks to not be rattled by the pressure while Harris seems to let his nerves take over.
