I’ll stick to position players for now.

I think Arnold, Cranford, Gio, and Sanford are all processed.

What y’all think?

Arnold
Cranford
Safford
Sanford or DiGiacomo

Bianco and Beloso won't be processed but they also won't be guaranteed starting time either which could affect their decision.

Just to start. We have a lot of players that need to move on to make our roster work.

That also doesn't have a numbers issue.

DiGiacomo

I really hope he sticks around as long as willing to be a backup OF and a late game pinch runner

I forgot about Safford, I agree I think he is processed as well.

The middle to bottom of the roster is not of LSU caliber

Most of them will go. I think Bianco could go play for his dad. Tho I’d love him in a super utility role

Project, I was under the impression that we did have a numbers issue. Aren't we at like 57 and have to get to 40? I should have made this original post in your roster thread.

We are at 50/40 before the draft and including COVID year guys that just may hang it up.

Beloso just needs to get fat again and start hitting the ball

Some depend on scholarship they have and if they want more playing time. Cranford as an example. He probably has no scholarship money. May see no future. May enjoy lsu. Any Louisiana guy may be similar. If someone has any part of a scholarship and didn’t contribute. They will be gone. I don’t know who has what So hard to say.

Gio may be a scholarship money casualty. Can’t spend money on a guy who is a backup defense specialist or pinch runner. Just not enough money. I could see gio and Arnold being two of the first ones out due to this. Depending on if we pick up anyone else In transfers

He won't stay if he's a backup being an out of state kid

So we don't think that any of these players mentioned throughout the thread could be 'coached' into better players or start believing in JJs system? Do they suck that much after winning a regional?

No there are definitely some underdeveloped players on the roster that can/will contribute on a better team. We’re going to have a lot of new faces because we signed 19 players last November and there was going to be natural attrition anyway, but we aren’t going to have some crazy number of portal transfers come in and move everyone out.

I’m not sure why Gio is getting written off so easily. The dude is a player and being hurt this entire season sucks for him. I would really like him to come back and have a full season next year - can’t teach his speed out in CF and despite the rants opinion, he is a good hitter.

Why does Sanford transfer? Safford yes. But why Sanford?
