It’s a legit question. miller got fired. They were caught up in same scandal. Miller is only other coach I know of who got caught using his own bank account. But here is Arizona googling as a 1 seed. So the question is what was Arizona’s penalties? Did they have as much violations?
They have obviously recovered from firing Miller

The committee hasn’t completed their case and issued penalties yet. Sound familiar? NCAA is incompetent - unless you gift wrap it for them.

They’ll likely come down harder on LSU because we aren’t considered as much of a blue blood like Arizona. Plus, it seems like every one has had a hard on for Wade more than anyone else.

What about Self at Kansas? Or coach K at Duke? Did Zion get paid 400k or no?

This will be the last time the NCAA can make a example out of anyone, with NIL making all of this moot. I expect them to do their worst to this non-blue blood of a program...

Wade did it, but could have do it a "better" way. That is the bottom line and it really sucks

They fired Miller.

We fired Wade (albeit finally).

Neither will face sanctions by the NCAA.

They fired their coach and banned themselves from one postseason and are still waiting on punishment from NCAA.

LSU in way worse situation now. I read the NOA document which is on USA Today. LSU is getting hammered for not doing anything on Wade when the phone call came out and Wade/Armstrong are being scorched for not cooperating with the investigation.

On the flip side I believe football is being held hostage for the basketball issues. The biggest issue is Funes/Alexander case from 2012. Funes went to jail for his part in this. They also made a big deal about OBJ doling out money after the NCG. LSU made the players who were not finished give the money back. Also the amount of money involved was $2000 total among 4 players. O got cited for a Level 3 recruiting violation for meeting a kid at his HS in the coaches office before the July 1 deadline. That is is for football.

This doesn’t even make sense. Arizona didn’t even do anything to Miller until all of this was out for three years. He had shitty results on top of this and they canned him last April. Why would Zona be okay for not immediately acting but LSU not?

Arizona fired Miller because he started to lose games. If he kept winning, they would have fought the battle with him

Absolutely legit - because the feeling of some is that this will crush us for years and years to come - Auburn just won the SEC and Arizona is a 1 seed pretty damn shortly after their ceremonial spankings.

LSU made the Sweet 16 and won the SEC in Brady's third year after some pretty severe sanctions after Daddy Dale.

Not sure what Arizona's sanctions were but ours will be worse you can bet, even though the situations are very comparable.

Arizona was 11-9 in conference play the year they fired Miller. LSU just went 9-9

5th place in PAC after winning the league 5 times in the 7 years prior. I’m not saying he was bad, but it was a tangible decline

Arizona missed the tournament 2 straight years and was on the bubble Covid year.

High school recruits live in the present and have memories as short as your pecker. We'll be fine. Within 2 years people will be saying "wow LSU certainly bounced back from the scandal with what's his name".
