All you have to do is find some weak minded, bandwagon jumping jackasses and you’ll find yourself some Bama fans. And wouldn’t you guess, their favorite NFL team is the Patriots.

Alabama/Patriots/Warriors fans. Well the Warriors are arse now so i guess they are going back to the Lakers bandwagon.

Correct LSU was desegregated actually before Brown, ie AP Tureaud hall is named after the man who did, and when full desegregation started there were no James Meredith at Ole Miss or George Wallace at Alabama incidents at LSU , not saying LA and LSU were perfect but no way in hell like MS and AL

Lol.....Jake Delhomme must have left New Orleans at least 10 years ago. The guy must be over 40 now. Hard to believe anyone is still upset.

That is entirely possible that many I saw in Bogalusa were from Mississippi. It is only a river that separates the two.

I would say New Orleans (Uptown and Metaire),
You would be way wrong.
Well there isn’t a Walmart Uptown.
Uptown is a pro Tulane area with the rest LSU fans. New Orleans is a heavy LSU area. From Uptown to the East.

I've found that parts of New Orleans have a superiority complex to LSU. They, for some unbeknownst reason, have a false sense of self-importance and think LSU is beneath them.
Dude wat?
I went to high school uptown and now I’ve worked in New Orleans for a decade and uptown for half. I have no clue what you’re talking about.

It’s more prevalent with the uptown crowd. They might only go to Ole Miss or Bama but since it’s out of state it’s better in their minds.
That’s the thing though, if they go to school there, that’s not Walmart bandwagon fans

He’s almost 45. Trust me, no one in Lafayette or St. Martin Parishes is anti-Saints because of Jake Delhomme.

Agreed. I’m from Monroe. I think a lot of these “fans” became fans when Saban started stealing recruits up here. Of course there’s the typical bandwagon fan that’s just following a winner, but I think the casual college football fans around here jumped on the bandwagon with Luther Davis, Kenny Bell, Cam, and Hootie.

Is Tchoupitoulas Street considered uptown?

I used to go to Annunciation Catholic Church in Bogalusa. Even the priest there used to give Tide fans recognition. The day after the 1/9/12 fiasco, the crimson tide BCS T-shirt’s were already on the shelves at the bogalusa walmarks.
i live in the area and that just isn't true.
you posters do not even reside here.

LOL! Let's not turn this into some Catholic vs Protestant issue. I went to Annunciation School K-8, and I'm a 4th generation member of the Church. I can't speak for the last 23 years due to military service nor the priest giving recognition to tide fans sometime between 2006-2016, but I know the congregation very well and no priest would last long there giving any semblance of praise to Bama!
