Can we say predominantly African American areas of each town? The same ones with the FSU and Miami Starter jackets in the 90’s.

Without question, Lafayette does. Those University of Louisiana at Johnston Street fans are the worst. More big red A's in their pickup truck windows than you will see in Birmingham too.

I used to go to Annunciation Catholic Church in Bogalusa. Even the priest there used to give Tide fans recognition. The day after the 1/9/12 fiasco, the crimson tide BCS T-shirt’s were already on the shelves at the bogalusa walmarks.

This whole Lafayette trope is bullshite and simply not true. I've seen more bama gear in Baton Rouge.

I would say New Orleans (Uptown and Metaire), but they actually send their kids there. That said, Hammond, Denham, Kentwood, and Baton Rouge would be my choice.

You’re wrong. There’s a bunch of “UL” fans/alums that cheer for bama purely out of spite for LSU. I know 12-15 personally.

Then what is Baton Rouge’s and North Louisiana’s excuse?

It’s amazing how people in the same town can have a different experience. I’ve lived in Lafayette for over 30 years and never met a Bama fan.

Don’t me wrong, I’ve seen some stickers on windows around town, but not the epidemic that everyone here says.

ETA: or maybe I have. I’ve just never met someone who said, “I want Bama to win this weekend.”
