I know they have an exotic 3-3-5 defense and scored 80 on Natchitoches Sisters of the Blind

Are they supposed to be similar to last year? Better, worse? Balanced team or one-side heavy?

I know we have some 318 baws here that can chime in

All I know is that our defensive coordinator is their quarterback.

11 on offense, 11 on defense. We can figure out the rest after kickoff.

NW st may legitimately be the worst team in D1 football this season. Can't put too much stock into what they did last weekend.

They gave us a lot of trouble last year with just an average G5 team. They're a much better team this year. Disregard the 35-point spread--tomorrow night could prove to be a four-quarter game.

This year we're not playing with an injured QB who can't throw the ball 15 yards downfield.

And we're also not playing with an offensive coordinator that wears velcro shoes.

Offense- Baker is a good QB, best player is Finley at TE. WRs kind of unknown, Oline is better than last year, couple of decent RBs

Defense- LBs best group, good starting dline but as expected, lacks depth. Solid corners but safety is a big concern.

Lost our starting kicker and punter last year to NIL, so who knows on the new guys.

I don’t expect a lot from their offense. Quick passes to try and slow down the rush. They have an all conference TE Eli Finley who’s pretty good. Defensively, they have a lot of good individual athletes. Sonny Cumbie has done well keeping some of the Ruston kids at home. A lot of guys who were considered a few inches too short or a few pounds too small for SEC, but they can still play. I think we cover the spread, but think their defense may hold up for a while.

Eli Finley is a rock solid TE for the Sun Belt, second team offense preseason pick.

Their other stud is LB Kolbe Fields, first team defense preseason.

EA sports ranks both of them at 84 overall if that is any help, lol.

Then a decent LT, Christman, a decent WR in Shettron. After that the talent falls off some.

Gonna be nice to see if Pickett can completely shut down Shettron, they'll scheme the frick out of us to get him open, but our speed, length and strength should counteract.

Fields is fast enough to test most tackles when he blitzes and strong enough to give smaller RBs fits.

All that being said, we handle business. It all depends on when Lane subs in the third stringers and the scoring stops.

Seems that way, 6th year player. He’s for sure the best player on our defense. Actually did a stint at LSU.

I dont think Kiffin is going to let his guys sleepwalk into a G5 game. And if they do, the halftime arse chewing will be generational.

Is Dedrick Latulas still around? He and my son had a fun interaction last year pre game during warmups.

If this is a 4 quarter game then we are in a lot of trouble this year.

They may be the worst team in any division. Their QB did throw for 300 yds on Tech though.
