ASU pulled their starters before LSU did that night...

and I quote from the LSU radio network

"We enter the 4th quarter with LSU up 14-0 it should be tied or worse"

quote from LSU message boards

"Thank God this game wasn't on tv and everyone in the country will just see the final score, and not know how close this game really was"

Let's play at a neutral field and see the outcome. Nahhhh you would have probably won by the same amount

Champ against Champ...But lets give the home field advantage team an extra 23 scholarships.

That might just make it even...but I doubt it.

do you have any idea how much of a little bitch you just sounded like with that post?

ASU's defense has been fairly weak compared to previous years (2005 and 2006). They gave up 21 or more in every game last year but 3 (out of 15 games) including giving up 21, 27 and 35 twice in the playoffs. The size difference really showed last year against Michigan. They were getting tossed around badly on defense. They simply outscored Michigan in the end.

If you recall Michigan had nearly 500 yards of total offense. Mike Hart was 12 yards away from having a 200 yard game (and he only carried the ball 23 times).

We'll have our way with their defense easily. I don't expect us to put less than 31 points on the board. Should see somewhere around 250 yards on the ground especially with the huge difference in the lines and our RBs being bigger than their LBs (and faster, too). Their best LB is 6'0 210lbs.

In the end it's going to come down to our defense stopping their offense. Basically.

We will drop a minimum of 50 on App State. App State at their very, very best will put up 24.

Most likely score:

LSU 62
App St 10

This is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not saying LSU is gonna win by 60 points or even 35 points. But anything less than 28 will be considered a poor performance. Talk all you want about the Michigan game but Michigan was WAY overrated coming into the season and proved to be an above average team at the end. We could go to Appy St and ya'lls 25k stadium and the outcome would remain the same. Even at LSU I wouldn't be surprised if Appy st stood really tough for the 1st quarter. But you have to realize that after your smaller DT's and DE's are getting pounded by 300-350+ linemen they are gonna crumble.

LSU is better at literally every position except maybe QB and the only reason people think Edwards is so good is because he played well one game against Michigan and does well against bad competition.

Ole Miss wins the SEC championship this year if App state beats LSU. Too bad it won't happen. Either one. Ever.

Why is that. We will NOT looks past them, and this will be Big Les' chance to show why LSU is a better place to be than the Big House. Come the mid part of the 3rd QTR, we will be pouring it on, and our "subs", like Murphy and JMitchell types will steam roll a tired and over-matched ASU team.

I admire App State, and I am glad that popped Michigan, but they will be so worn out in probably the hottest week of the year in Baton Rouge, while practicing in the cool mountain area of western NC. They'll be fresh for a while, but they will start to wane in the 2nd and 3rd QTR and our backups will pound them.

Yes, I agree. I don't believe LSU will put up 60-70 points and rub their face in it like the Sooners. I believe we will definitely win this game and stay humble at the same time.

We are 4-10 in the past 13 years....with close loses to Auburn and Clemson. both games we were ahead in the 4th.

So on a neutral field what do you think the record would be? Would Kentucky have beaten you at Baton Rouge last year? God I hope not.

Again. As sorry as some might think Kentucky is. It is still a Div. I school that still plays in the SEC. I know that every dog has it's day, but the chances of it is probably slim to none.

That game didn't matter really where it was. It's not like Kentucky's stadium is "terrifying"

On neutral ground it would be the same record. Because no matter how you spin it, or dream, we're just better than you. No offense, but if you played an SEC schedule would you be ranked in the Top 40? And if you say yes, then that means you can win at least four of these games: LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama. You can actually say five and add Miss St because I think they can beat ya'll.

this thread has gotten ridiculous.

App State gave up almost 200 yards on the ground last year against the competition in an inferior league.

App State will be going up against the best or top two or three O-lines in all of college football with one of the best stable of running backs in college football.

I don't know what kind of water you are drinking up there in Boone GGASU, but logic dictates that LSU might put up a few more yards on the ground than teams you guys faced last year.

You have one DT that is 290 and the rest are all no more than 270. Our OL will absolutely destroy your front 7.

Their LBs are 210, 215 and 240 (one actually that's LB size).
