Mountains of Haiti has really kicked this storms arse today. It looks really weak right now.
Hopefully it goes over Southeast Cuba like a couple of the models suggest....that would end the whole debate.

I guess with models stretching from Mexico to Tampa Florida, it is hard to miss.
Let's go ahead and cancel every soccer match, bull fight, football game, wedding, and dog fight located in Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica,Tx, La, Miss, Ala, and Florida.

The tracking models that are used are absolutely useless for anything over 3 days out.

You think you can evacuate a city the size of New Orleans in 48 hours?
So 3 days = 48 hours.....hopefully you do not represent the math department at LSU

I have never seen a 5 to 6 day forecast track come anywhere close to being accurate....
A drunk monkey could throw darts at the map and be just as accurate as these f##$king models.

From national hurricane center
[quote]THERE REMAINS A LARGE AMOUNT OF SPREAD INTHE MODELS AT 72 HOURS AND BEYOND. THE 00Z UKMET AND ECMWF MODELS
MAINTAIN THE RIDGE OVER THE GULF OF MEXICO...WHICH KEEPS GUSTAVE
MOVING WESTWARD TOWARDS THE YUCATAN PENINSULA. THE
GFDL...HWRF...AND GFS WEAKEN THE RIDGE WHICH ALLOWS FOR A
WEST-NORTHWESTWARD MOTION INTO THE CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO. THE NEW
NHC TRACK FORECAST LEANS TOWARD THE GFS/HWRF SCENARIO AND IS A
LITTLE TO THE RIGHT OF THE MODEL CONSENSUS.

If the models were in complete disagreement on Gustav's projected path, you might have a valid point. However, that is not the case here.

When you get your house blown away by a previous storm, you usually keep more than just an occasional peak at an oncoming storm, especially one of this apparent magnitude.
I didn't mean any disrespect...all I was saying is that if I got worried over every storm that may or may not hit my house...I would drive myself crazy.

You guys get pretty worked up, about a hurricane that is a week away from any landfall.
I live on the coast in North Carolina, I want the hurricane track to be right on us a week out...they are never anywhere close a week away.

LSU 45 ... Virginia Tech & a distraught Beamer ZERO ... and I am dumber than a box of rocks
Virginia Tech had a terrible offense at beginning of the year in 07.....the offense only scored 10 against East Carolina in Blacksburg the week before you played them!!
Please...new rule, you can not brag about beating a team that squeaked by a mid level USA team at home.

There are plenty of Harvard Freshman that have seen action in their first year...

Who cares if the guy played JV or Varsity...
JaKaRe..you could have played both at Harvard...of course the brain wouldn't have allowed you to be there....
but as an athlete you could have played qb as a JV or Varsity player at Harvard....hell McCain is trying out if he doesn't win the election.

That's a roster for all football players at Harvard. It's no separated into varsity and junior varsity.
No dude...no one lists junior varsity players...
Jesus flsdfjlsdjfl Christ... that is like linking a LSU roster and some dumbass saying "Does that include the LSU JV team"
He played a club sport at a terrible I-AA football school...get over it.

DUDE!!! Get your facts straight before you start all that crap! HE WAS A FRESHMEN AT HARVARD!!! All Freshmen are on the JV squad moron and the quaterback he played behind was very good!
I guess the 27 freshman on the 2008 harvard team, didn't get your memo.

ASU doesn't have a JV squad...but we do have a club football team...Hatch wouldn't sniff the starting QB role.
quote:
Can I quote you on that? I agree he gets pulled by halftime but bc he is 13-15 with 175 yards and 4 TDS....i mean really...i think Josh Booty could throw to the WR we have this year especially against your secondary
Hatch 13/15 :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
You are RainMan retarded if you think that Hatch can have anywhere close to those stats.
He couldn't even make a terrible I-AA teams varsity roster...and now you expect a club level athlete to lead you....WOW

If Hatch is the starter he will be pulled by halftime...maybe after the first quarter
Hatch... :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Really?
God I hope so.
