I have a LaTech grad living next door here in Dallas. We usually mow our yards at the same time and I have a few national championship tees that I've trashed, so I wear one of those so that when we stop to visit he has to see that NC shite in his face.

I told him last weekend that we're scheduled to win an NC this year. "Scheduled?" he says. "Yeah." I reply. "We seem to win NC's when we play Tech."

O.K. then, everyone in the state government acts like LSU is the only program who deserves to get the most money. Picture this, if there is a program struggling to survive, and LSU was adding on to their stadium, the state would help LSU out before the struggling program

Why would you want to throw good money after bad? That is the problem with people thinking the Godvernment should bail out everything.

I can't believe these numbnuts who say LSU is NOT "Louisiana's Team."

The Saints are?

I remember when I was in the car business working closely and visiting often the Ford Motor Credit office in Shreveport.

Go there on a Monday after the Dallas Cowboys lost? It was like a Depression Clinic and the operations manager told me production was actually down because of depression.

Shreveport on the whole doesn't give two shits about the Saints.

Any Tech fan from north Louisiana should know that.

Let LSU lose and yes, the whole state has a miserable Sunday morning.

Face it Techsters - you have a mid-major, minor league program and always will.

My daughter goes to Tulane and I pull for them but I'm not delusional. In a small state no matter how much talent there is - there will never be another "LSU" program. Hell, Rice has a lot more elbow room in Houston than Tulane does in New Orleans sixty miles downriver from LSU.

And the few really good Division I athletes that LSU doesn't get AIN'T going to Louisiana Tech.

I grew up in Lake Charles. McNeese fans seem to be the most knowledgeable and most realistic - supporting the Cowboys fanatically but still realizing LSU is THE flagship university and rooting for the Tigers on the huge, national scale.

Face it people, Tech, ULM and ULL would be better off if they had never gone 1-A. Tech has probably had the most scattered success over the last 25 years, but that doesn't change the facts.

Louisiana Tech is the minor leagues. LSU is the major leagues.

Accept it and get over it.

Rattay to Edwards was no better than Humphries to Williams at ULM. LTU has never had a team that would not have been a serious underdog vs LSU. Tech no better in any given year than any other State school. Ther natural rival is ulm. No doubt if ulm can beat ALa that they could beat Ltu.This thread is a joke.

3. ULM & ULL - They can flip flop and some years be better than the 2's.
4. Everybody else with Mcneese leading the way.

Sound about right?

That is probably right in most years. But a little food for thought. What was the result of the last games McNeese played with ULM and ULL???

At least Tech won a few national titles once they reached the women's Final Four.

Yep, that's all I got.

The NCAA's mandatory attendance policy is the natural rival of ULM

Shreveport is split 50/50 between Saints and Cowboys, which is only natural considering the proximity to the two cities. I find that the Cowboy fans in Shreveport tend to be a little rough around the edges. On the other hand, us Saints fans are used to losing so we aren't depressed on Monday mornings!

I live in Ruston and graduated from Tech. If it would have been feasible, I would have definitely gone to LSU. I bleed LSU. I've got LSU stickers all over my lawn mower and dirt bike. My next-door neighbor is from Baton Rouge and went to Tech. He's now the Director of Alumni at Tech. He's always flying his Tech flag on the front of his house. I see it and I'm thinking "How the hell could a guy from friggin Baton Rouge leave there to come to Tech and love the Bulldogs over a national powerhouse from his hometown?" He can't stand LSU.

Then you need to be pissed off at your own "family" and fans. Don't have a resentment toward LSU. It's not their fault.

Look what Tiger Ticker posted a couple of posts up. There is no overcoming that kind of thought. A Tech grad who cannot believe another Tech grad supports Tech over LSU.

We get pissed off at that kind of stupidity from the "fan", but also resent LSU for providing an outlet for that kind of behavior.... or for being so distracting that an alumni has to support them over his own Alma Mater. It is not LSU's fault, but the resentment is still there. If they were going to College Station to support the Aggies, the resentment would be for the Aggies.
