I was there. The Iron Bowl, also at Legion Field, the year before was actually worse.

Tulane in the Superdome, 1994.

I haven't really been to many away games.
My worst experience was Troy in 2008, it was at home. It was just so damn cold. And the game itself was miserable until the 4th quarter. Still no idea how we pulled that off.

2009 season Capital One Bowl vs Penn State
There was a foot of standing water in the corner of the endzones.. Not to mention the chunks of turf torn out all over the field. They had to bring a crew out with buckets to try to smash the turf back in to place at halftime.
Not to mention the Penn State band played Seven Nation Army after every single play as Penn State methodically drove down the field for the game winning field goal.

Orlando for the Notre dame bowl game.

I believe it was the coldest day in Orlando history. Blowing rain most of the game and really cold, especially for central Florida

Notre Dame 1997 was miserable. Temperatures in the 30s, gray, overcast.

ULM at ULL in 2015. Worked for the ULM football team, and there was a monsoon going on, all day long leading up to gametime. Actually had to do player warmups in the ULL practice facility because it was raining so bad. Rain rain rain. So much damn rain. I was soaked and only had a pair of dry clothes for the ride back home, so I had to stay soaked the entire game. It wouldn’t have been so bad, if we didn’t blow a 24-3 lead and ended up losing, and having to hear shite from the 10 fans that were in attendance. Talk about some pissed off people in that locker room afterwards too.
Don't have any bad weather experiences for an LSU away game. I’ll tell you what though, my favorite bad weather experience LSU game, was when we destroyed Johnny Football in 2013. That was one of the most fun football games I ever attended, rain or shine.

98 or 99 in Little Rock, AR...it was cold as a witches tit and was pissing freezing rain.
We held a car flag straight out for about 10 min and it stayed stiff straight out for a few minutes.

I went to a Senior Bowl in like 1990 or 1991 (Bunch of LSU players in the game- does that count?)
It was in the 40’s and drizzling at kickoff.
Sun never came out the whole day.
By halftime 90% of the stadium was empty.
My buddies wanted to leave at halftime because it was getting colder and raining harder- i said no because i was the one who drove and wanted to see more of the game.
A few minutes into the 3rd quarter, it started HAILING- it was crazy loud hitting the metal seats.
Friends were looking angry at me, so I said ‘frick it, lets go’.

This is the answer - was in marching band and Frank Wickes told us not to stop playing and marching during halftime unless we heard a freight train, then just run like hell!

Auburn back in '02. It rained the entire time. The team got absolutely smoked. We were wet.
Probably the worst road trip I've ever taken.

South bend 1998 cold especially the second half

South Carolina game was really wet one year. They ran out of rain suits so buddy and I went to concessions and asked for some big trash bags and cut holes for head and arms.
Also snowed a bit on us for an independence bowl one year I think it was against notre dame or Michigan state. Can’t remember which one.

Tennessee in 2018... was still a student and were on the very front row shoulder to shoulder with the band, had so much standing water that funneled down to the front row that you had to stand on the bleachers. It was a fun time as a drunk student but man that weather was horrible. Side not: Neyland Stadium is an absolute shithole

I was at that game and share the exact same experience. I walked through the hotel lobby in my underwear with wet clothes in hand.

That state game in 09 it poured before the kick off. It was an absolute monsoon while tailgating and through the game.
