Basketball is the one sport that can be turned around in one offseason.

Its the easiest to build up of any sport.

Because firing him seems like it’s going to set the program back as far if not further than any “sanctions” imposed by the NCAA.

Negative ghostrider.

Blame Will Wade. He's 100% responsible.

Question, what information did Bill Self, Roy Williams, Coach K, John Calipari, John Thompson, withhold from the NCAA over the last 20 plus years.

Question, are you really this stupid?

OH was acquitted so does that mean we can never charge anyone else with a crime? Was Coach K ever investigated by the NCAA? If no then he didn’t with hold anything. You can whine and complain that he’s cheating just cause but you need actual proof not just a blind accusation.

Firing Wade is a sign that the sanctions will be on par with what others have received. Normally programs have gotten one year post season bans, scholarship penalties and fines when they immediately fire the coach. Teams like Okie State take hit and are still having investigations hanging over them when they keep the coach so firing Wade is a good bet we skate on anything really damaging.

There is no death penalty in college sports anymore. If there was Penn State would’ve gotten it.

My take is Woodward is his own man except when
Daddy,(Emmert) tells him what he Will (Wade) do ! Was that WW as funny as it was to me ? It does suck ! I thought I really liked the WW I saw on TV but really don't know the man. I do wonder why he would not have talked to his players after he was fired, or maybe he did. I read where he didn't. It seems like it would be a difficult thing to do but if you care about the players... I don't know ? Hope he did right to them and it seems like if SW wanted WW to stay paw in law would have handled it ! Maybe he didn't want his daughter , nevermind

How much more money would a league made up of the top 32 programs generate than the current system does now?????????

And how much more would each school receive dividing that money 32 ways instead of the 100+ schools that divide it to some extent currently????

It's gonna happen soon. And at that point, the NCAA will be about as powerful and prosperous as your local little league organization. A reminder about that from our AD could have EASILY had the paper tiger that the NCAA is now singing a different tune. Instead, we bend over and take what's coming.

I should have been clearer. Of course you run the plan by Tate before you go in guns blazing.

A strong AD that didn't potentially have to worry about pissing off daddy in-law, should be able to privately convince the inner circle that this is the way you deal with someone that truly has no leverage if you play your cards right.

The problem we have is too many in positions of power are in cya mode and won't go after the weak arse NCAA. Other schools have stood up to them and the NCAA has backed the fLuck down. LSU has the power to do this if they choose to. For whatever reason, we didn't.

Has any other HC in any sport been the actual bag man before ? I don’t remember any but could be wrong and that’s what makes this case so different. He can’t claim ignorance like others have. The HC should never get this directly involved in these dealings. Saban ain’t the one handing out Chargers.
