You might want to get there on Sunday. I assume the traffic will not be fun on Monday.

Leave early and go 1-10 all the way. Gonna be crowded with work people and football people. And media.

Ride due West into the sunset and turn left at the Rocky Mountains.

Check waze and if it looks bad you could get off and go Airline before spillway otherwise stay on I-10

Or if you think it will be bad at rush hour on Monday take Boutte exit to Airline

Plenty of options if you know your away around New Orleans

Plan to take 10, but be ready to switch over to airline at anytime once you've gotten past LaPlace...

I-10 avoid rush hour, leave before 6 or about 9 to have fun downtown. More parking if leave 6.

This is the correct answer if you want to leave late and avoid traffic as much as possible

Don't speed on 3127 because St John radar that highway all the time. It is a big source of revenue for them.

Depends on when the President's motorcade shuts down the interstate in NOLA.

To be safe, I would cross the river at Donaldsonville and take La 3127 down to US 90 and take the downtown river bridge (Crescent City Connection) into NOLA. At lease you could get into downtown without facing the motorcade from the airport that day.

3127 is terrible in that stretch. Bad potholes. Just a heads up
