I would put money on Trey Quinn not running under a 4.5 40 at the combine.
You would lose that bet. I know him personally and he’s ran a 4.4 since he was a 14 year old. He’s a freak athlete and has been since before the LLWS. He was dunking in 8th Grade. He was in the (10.7 was his best time) 100m State Final his senior year of high school AND he ran a 4.39 as a 16 year old at LSU Camp. I was there. That’s why he was offered. It’s personal so it’s different, but I love to see this board hate on one of my good friends as he continues to prove y’all wrong.

Seems to me that both Jackson and Tolliver will go pro. The risk for both of them is that some teams will rate them with first or second round grades, but because of their risk, the bulk will not touch them until round 4 or so. So do the teams that rate them high have a need for corner in those high rounds that is greater than their need at other positions? If so, they will look very smart coming out and being picked in the second round. If not, and they fall to the 4th or 5th, they will have royally fricked themselves financially and have to wait for contract #2.
Both are far better off coming back and answering the questions about their game, then coming out as true first round prospects. But they are young and confident in themselves and probably have people around them pushing them to go get paid, so they will both come out. I hope the stars do align for them, but don’t be surprised if one or both of them experience the gut punch that Malachi Dupre got last April (to a lesser degree).

Jackson might run 4.2 he’s gone.
I’d tell Tolliver to come back but he might be a guy that rises up to the second round once teams work him out; so I could easily see him declaring as well.

I don’t think it’s even guaranteed that Brumfield starts next year.

He will. And the haters on this board fuel him partially. Especially after not being able to play last year. Trust me.

Hand timed vs laser makes a huge difference

Okay; laser 40s at barbe for a satellite camp (can’t remember the team). 1st run was a 4.43 ...at 15 years old mind you.
They thought it malfunctioned because he’s white id assume. They made him run again. And he dropped a 4.38. I have no reason to lie about this. I’ve known and played with and against him since we were 8.
ETA: BARBE DOES NOT HAVE A TURF FIELD LIKE SULPHUR OR WESTLAKE.

He has to be an alternative to create mayhem and discord amongst the true fans!

I thought Tolliver said he's coming back? Clapp doesnt need the money, i could see him coming back. Brumfield back. Guice and Key should go. You have to if going in first round. Risk of bad injury is too great. We have great depth at corner and with possibly the top two corners in the country committing, we will be fine there

Good luck to you Trey.
No hard feelings.

We’d still have Ed 0 so it doesn’t matter

Doesn’t matter; he knows the consequences of playing offensive line for an extended period of time. He will go to the league and make a career out of his talents and cash out while he can still move. He’s also graduating. It would be stupid to play a fifth year not getting paid when you could be; regardless of family situation.

He was like a 10.5 PR 100m guy in HS. That was faster than anyone in that recruiting class including Leonard Fournette

His dad is very good friends with my neighbor as well and they keep in touch regularly. TQ always appeared to be a stand up dude.
