getting a player ready for the NFL takes priority over the LSU fighting Tigers

This has been happening for decades. It's just a little more common to hear coaches talk about it. It's also pretty common with other sports like baseball. The goal is to keep the best players happy (i.e. Perkins). Maybe that means giving them something they want to keep them here. The transfer portal makes it even harder than before to keep the roster full. I don't like it any more than you do. But it's part of the game and it will continue to be that way.

The best talent at OC and DC needs to be hired . That is what Saban has done . He isn’t hiring his homeys from West Virginia

He hired Bill O' Brien. BoB had ties with him thru Belichik.

Every coach in the country hires coordinators who they are familiar with or someone they are familiar with recommends them. Networking takes place at every level of life. Networking does not mean barbq buddies.

I used to say this when miles was here.

I don’t give a F about the nfl.

I don’t care how much or how little money any current lsu football player makes at the next level or even if they make it.
Not the first one prior or future has ever sent a check endorsed to tigrlee.

I care about LSU winning every game they play.
That’s it.

Call me a dick. Call me an a-hole idgaf.

Least I’m honest.
My priority and level of care is with lsu football that’s it.

I'm right there with you, Tigrlee! I will admit, I do like to see former Tigers doing good in The League, but my overwhelming priority is LSU! I want them to win every frickin game they play!! Yeah, I know that is an unreasonable expectation, but I still want to win. All you people who are hating on the OP and others of us who feel this way make it sound like you don't care if LSU wins or loses, as long as the players do what it takes to get ready for the NFL. Well, to me them doing great at the next level is just a by-product of them doing great at LSU! Now,

That whole thing is bs. If it was about getting players ready for the league. Duce would be playing nickel, Sage would be playing nothing but a box safety. Jones would be playing guard.

Mike Norvell is a better coach/talent evaluator than Kelly.
All our frickstick could muster after getting blown out was “We’re not the team we thought we were.” How embarrassing.

I learned BK may not be exactly who we thought he was. And that our passing will struggle all year more than likely, making it extremely difficult to compete.

I didn’t learn shite. Didn’t want to or need to. It’s college football, not a NASA documentary.

The fact that you can’t process the issue correctly, whether you agree or not, shows how fundamentally stupid and trashy you and your POS family are.

Yeah.
That’s the ideal (putting LSU above players future).
But the real is that top players care about it (that their future is being considered), greatly. And guess what? Players talk, across team barriers.
And if you think recruits won’t factor in whether a coach is known for not giving a frick about his players’ futures, then you’re too stupid to discuss with.

If that’s the goal, JD should be playing WR because he is NOT an NFL QB
