LSU throttles Miami. Beats Auburn in their own house. Pounds Ole Miss. loses by one score in the Swamp. Skulldrags Georgia. Dominates Mississippi State on defense.

And we don’t have a prayer against a team that has one top 25 win? What really good team has Bama dominated? I know this has been said before but the lack of respect against a team that is out for blood playing in our own house is infuriating.

Saban, Tua, Bama, blah blah fricking blah! It’s all noise. Just being around this team.....they have this striking confidence about them. It’s contagious. It’s got me wanting to suit up! Our boys really believe that if they play like they know they can, this will be a blood bath

I admittedly don't pay attention to the talking heads or listen to sports radio, but who is saying we don't have a prayer? A toothless inbred caller on Finebaum's show doesn't count.

Like it or not they're going to get the benefit of the doubt even if they haven't played anyone really worth a shite. They've been a juggernaut for the last decade.

And let's not act like they're just beating these teams. They're beating the ever-living frick out of them. And they have something they haven't previously had - an explosive offense.

What rational person is saying LSU "doesn't have a prayer?" The 14-point spread accounts for most non-LSU partisans who closely watch college football. Most of those people conclude that Alabama has better players and better coaches than LSU. LSU will eventually snap this losing streak. Most people just don't think it will happen against the best Alabama offense in school history. I expect a close game that LSU can win if Tua makes mistakes he has not yet made.

Every single game they have played has been out of reach by half time. Some even by the first quarter. Its no surprise that the media is picking them.

But I can promise you that LSU will be ready to come out and punch them in the mouth.

Figuratively of course. We are not allowed to get away with that kind of nonsense.

I get why people keep saying this but are you willfully blind? I don’t like using the “eyeball” test as a criteria for the playoffs or the BCS because it’s too subjective but for regular discussion it’s fine. A lot of the Bama players played in the NCG last year so it’s not like Tua and others have never played under pressure, they are throttling every one it’s not like they are struggling. They are absolutely loaded and their coach has skins on the wall.

Could we beat them, sure but it will take a massive effort

What sucks for them is they have not had to make half time adjustments. And now if they have to make adjustments, our defense could possibly be totally different after half time. When they get shut out in the first Quarter they will panic and it will derail

Yep. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Bama is really fricking good. But they haven't faced anyone of our caliber. And we have a massive chip on our shoulder and will be playing in front of what I anticipate will be one of the most raucous Tiger Stadium crowds maybe ever.

The best thing we can hope for is for everyone in the country to think we have no chance and to spout about it as often as possible.

Us against the world works.

I understand why Bama is such a heavy favorite. Bama has won 4 of the last 7 National Championships. The 3 seasons they didn't they were right there. That creates strong mental associations with Bama and winning in everyone's minds. Very few programs if any have had a run of that level of dominance ever. Top that with the media always being in love with the hot name QBs and now Bama also has that. It’s the perfect storm for a team being anointed the best ever.

Their offense is so explosive that Tua may win the Heisman and never have played in the fourth quarter of a regular season game. It’s never happened.
Let that sink in...

My point is in regard to those Bama and other sports personalities who talk about this game like a Bama victory is a foregone conclusion. I get that winning solves everything but at some point people have to recognize our quality wins especially when these same experts were so confident Miami, Auburn, MS State, Georgia we’re going to beat us.

We could beat Bama by 20 and talking heads will say Bama was the better team. It’s the eye test, don’t you know.
