Relying on transfers is not how championship teams are built.

This is false!

Ask Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Wisconsin how transfers can change your program for a year or two and move you along forward if you take advantage of it.

Shoot even LSU has had lots of success with transfered QBs. It does work so don't act like it doesn't. Mett and Etling were both transfers and both performed well at LSU. Both were drafted as well.

It's a great way to bridge a gap and that gap wasn't created by Orgeron. He's trying to bring it back together and doing what he can to bring this team back up to a level of championship caliber. He missed on a couple of prospects, it happens. We have no idea how these backs will perform, actually from what I've seen of CEH, he will perform exactly like what we've been accustom to seeing.

You people just love to bitch. He's had one true season to recruit. LA was a bit short on backs the last couple of years but in 2019 we have a few to take and we've taken advantage. Our QB prospect isn't lost just yet and you have no idea if LSU might end up with another recruit who's much better.

Travis Etienne says this is pure garbage. You don't have to make things up to prove a point.

I think it's funny that before the spring game people were saying that we finally had a quarterback and credited Orgeron for bringing them both in. Now, he's only had one year and the QB issue after the spring game isn't his fault.

I think he actually deserves a ton of credit for keeping that '16 class together and for bringing in Burrow. Sometimes QBs aren't ready in their second year. Although, I think they would have had a much better chance of being ready if we had a quality OC and QB coach the past two years. The continuity probably would have been a huge plus.

What a sad rant. Just shows you the extremes that O sycophants will go to in order to defend him.
He has a good point. In 1905 Ole Miss never scored a point and the coach didn’t do shite that year.

Some lazy arse guy by the name of “No Coach”.

I mean at least ed growls at the players and says “let’s go”

Not even remotely true???

Please, enlighten us on all of the coaches in their history that has worse results than O did in his three year tenure in which he won 3 SEC games

Thank you! I feel vindicated.

Old Nolan "No" Coach was possibly the worst coach in college football history.

You can't be serious, not saying he can't eventually be a good coach but this is laughable in so many aspects. He has not earned that type of respect yet

quote:

I love the way he has pulled this staff together and I know the team is getting ready to play with one heart beat!

He botched his first OC hire then promoted the TE coaching sitting on staff for years So what happens if the offense shits the bed this year, then what?

quote:

As you laugh him off some of you are blind to what he is doing daily to get this team ready for Miami - it will all come down to winning. He wins you will have to learn to live with him or become Tulane fans.

I am pulling for him to win but we will see soon. He underachieved last season given how awful the schedule was

Geez

Ed Orgeron and what he did at Ole Miss is history. I agree that we all carry resumes as we walk through life and what we did in our past carries weight. It carries more weight with some than others. In my on life I gained as much out of failures as I did in success. My failures with money ventures in my past are a major player in my business plans today.

Ed failed at Ole Miss as you go on and on about. He failed as the Ole Miss Head Football coach. He did well as a rally fill in coach at USC and LSU. His first season at LSU as Head Coach he went 9-4 and he is ready to start his 2nd season.

Ed will have 3 seasons at LSU and there is nothing the haters on this site can do about that. Your never ending bashing of Ed does nothing but pull down the program. The only good it does is to allow you to set the stage for future postings about how right you have been. Many of you see your understanding as a superior vision of what is really going on. The smart boys understand and the bayou public school boys are just not smart enough to get it.

You rate with many Ed Orgeron as the worst Head coach in the SEC. Many agree with you - so?

Ed will only change focus from his failures at Ole Miss by winning at LSU. 8 wins 9 wins and even 10 wins a season at LSU is not going to cut it. Being on level with Bama and Georgia is the goal that ED has and most LSU fans. Winning the SEC

If Ed does not have this program close to Bama by the end of his 3rd season he will have issues with the $$$
at LSU.

It's early and I am drinking my coffee and getting ready for a wonderful day. There is nothing I can say to stop you from seeing Ed as the guy at Ole Miss. I can only say I know that Ed is a better coach today than he was in 2005.

He has his staff in place to do that thing he is going to do and only time will allow it all to play out. If you think you know the future you are a fool. For me I am just going to enjoy the ride and support a man that I see giving it his 110% and that is all he can do.

You would probably have a point if he hadn't repeated the same mistakes at LSU in his first year as the full time head coach.

So, the overwhelming majority of objective outside opinions are crazy and the few inside this site that have the opposite view are the smart guys?

Seems like you've been predicting the future a lot Cliff. I recall a few threads that you've created about LSU starting 3-0 and about how many yards and points LSU will have against Miami. You know I love your optimism and enthusiasm. My question is how come it's ok for you and your O buddies to say those things will happen, but it's not ok to question things in the other direction?

I'll hang up and listen.

Well

I have never said what will happen

I post what I see and what I think

I am saying that IF we win our 1st 3 games it will point to the fact that Ed has hold to a winning formula at LSU.

I am NOT saying you can't bitch 24/7 - I am saying it does no good

Lets just win the first game and move on

I don't have the time to look it up right now, but I guarantee you have consistently said that things will happen. I even quoted you from a post this morning. Let me remind you that I have no issue with that. I only take issue when people do that, but then turn around and say that people questioning the O process don't know what's going to happen.

We absolutely agree that if they can start the season 3-0 that it could create some momentum that will have the SEC shaking in their space boots.

Eta: Had to edit out a nickname for Cliff that he didn't care for.
