What has Brian Kelly brought to the table thus far?

I’ve seen nothing. Offense sucks. Recruiting is good but it’s the same level of recruiting we have had since Les Miles. In game coaching has been a disaster. The players are not playing above their talent level (and some cases not even to their talent level). The offensive scheme does not play to our strengths. Maybe things will work out, but nothing we have seen so far points to this hire ending successfully.

If only you would have been available at the time! Would you have signed for less than $10MM/year?

What would you say are their strengths?

good lord, man, he's halfway through his first season of a major rebuild.

Now yes, I think the offensive play calling has been poor, so his hire of Denbrock may not be a good one, and special teams has been a debacle, but it's WAY TOO EARLY to push the panic button.

I wish you all were half as insufferable with whining about CEO in 2020 as you are now with CBK in 2022

We could’ve moved on faster if LSU pulled the plug before the 2021 season, and be having a better time right now

Explains why you have not seen anything...

Seriously, one cannot expect the offense and ST to remain as they are or he will not last. I am worried that he is wedded to a tight end heavy offense. Not sure any championships have been won with one.

I graduated from the university. I love LSU football. The name of the board is Tiger “rant”. Ranting is the shite that people do on here. Guess any criticism of the team thus far means you’re not allowed to watch the games

I'd really be curious to know how true this is versus you're just a fan that thinks our players are better than they actually are.

Our wide receivers are supposed to be NFL level talent. Their production this year has been non-existent. The scheme does not get them the ball quickly and allow them to make plays

Was it the scheme that made Boutte be wide open on 3rd and 3 and drop a ball that was placed in a very catchable spot on our first drive? Or for Jaray was it the scheme that allowed him to get open down the middle and potentially make the score 20-14, but he dropped it? The scheme has seen WR's be open a lot, and through a comedy of errors between all facets of the offense we haven't seen a ton of production from them. Some their own fault, some not.

"The scheme" is a lazy fan narrative. The scheme is fine, at some point the players have to execute. At some point Jayden has to become aggressive. At some point the WR's need to stop dropping the ball in critical situations. At some point the OL needs to learn how to block a stunt. If these things were to happen, suddenly "the scheme" wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah cherry pick 2 drops to straw man any criticism of the scheme. The issue is we have too many passing plays that take too long to develop with a weak offensive line and a gun shy quarterback that is inaccurate when he gets the balls to throw it down field. When you say “Jayden needs to be aggressive” or the “O line needs to block.” Maybe these are talent deficiencies that could be masked by a better scheme?

My problem with this line of thinking:

We were 6-6 last year (6-7 counting the bowl game) yet haven't shown much improvement. Actually, we've regressed as a team.

-QB position still a question mark.
-ST is still terrible.
-Receivers only halfway decent save for Nabors and Jenkins.

We'll be lucky to get back to a coachless 6-6 season a year ago. So mince it up and you not only are paying the departed coaches salary, but added an additional 10M to the tab.....yet where are the results?
