Should we just throw it in the dumpster?

What happened to the Tiger Rag? Does LSU still have the one from 2001?
quote:

The original flag was created in 1940 to foster good sportsmanship, most likely in response to growing tension between fans of the two teams that eventually escalated into a riot after Tulane's victory in 1938. It is believed that this flag was destroyed in a 1982 fire at Tulane's University Center.[5] In 2001, LSU and Tulane worked together to create a reconstruction of the rag based upon archived photographs.

When I was at the Old War Skule, they actually lost the silly trophy and eventually found it in some storage room in the LSU Hall of Fame. REALLY important rivalry...

I like the dropping it into Miss River idea and then when the river gets lower in about 100 years it will resurface with plenty of fond memories

Who cares? It was the SEC's attempt to be like the Big 10 who has some goofy trophy for damn near every game. It might be the least creative trophy in all of college football. Like they just hastily needed to come up with something on the eve of the game. At least some of the Big 10 trophies are kind of fun: An ax, a pig, a bucket, a jug. The boot is literally just a map of the two states.
