We'll probably need an inning out of Newman tomorrow. Hopefully it's not too shaky.

You keep effective, I'll take Goose Gossage Jr. mowing down hitters with the ole angry 97 two seamer.

Newman will step up big tomorrow. Which will be convenient, because we'll need it.

He had a stinger in his neck a few weeks back iirc. His last few outings he has not looked as sharp as usual

The last several times he pitched it was a circus.
Hess not so much.

Hope Newman can get right mentally tomorrow. Getting 2 plus shutdown middle relief innings out of him tomorrow would be HUGE!!!

Pitching staff gotta rise up!

Much like many recent batters, Newman got Hess'd. But he's still a key player and he will be ready to go when called upon.

If you still want Newman as the closer instead of Hess, then you are a clueless idiot.

Hess was number two, Newman was number one. Newman lost it—turned in his glove. Hess is number one.
