Very quick 14 then our porous defense doesn’t allow another score. Awaken scheme, didn’t see # 4 playing any different, subs who played great came in fourth quarter. So what can we expect against a good defense Saturday?

Even poor scheme can be upheld with superior talent at times.

We got stops against Florida, Auburn, miss state, even Mizzou.

All those teams are much better than GSU, of course we were gonna eventually just shut them down. They have no depth and the QB had to be perfect as did the receivers.

Well, that was Georgia State, not Georgia, on the other side.

Talent disparity shows up at some point.

Got lucky a receiver didn't see the ball on 4th down
Them not going for it on 4th and 1 right before the half for whatever reason
Stopped trying after watching their defense give up a TD on every single drive

Not going for that 4th and 1 was so remarkably gutless. I’d give them a 75% of converting but instead they punt the ball 29 yards and lsu drives right down the field. Could have still been competitive if they got it.

Should have been tied at 21 if the WR didn't drop a perfect pass. And then punting on 4 and 1. And maybe that momentum would have kept the game close. Who knows???

Pass rush was better, running game was stifled. The F-line and Linebackers played more as a unit. Decent coverage as well, probably caused by the former. In short they were trying to slow it down and we were trying to speed things up. We won that battle.

I just wish we'd given up one more TD at some point so they covered.

Matt House isn’t as bad as some of you think he is and should probably stick around next year. Better players and continuity will help the program in the long run.

The defense again should get the blame for people saying Daniels was "stat padding. He scored all 8 TDs in less than 21 minutes. If you take 2 and a half quarters, that's 37.5 minutes. If LSU held the ball 21 minutes, G St would have still held it a respectable 16.5 minutes. But no, G St held the ball 20 minutes in the first half.

Basically put, our talent won out vs G State after a while. Plus longer drives by the offense in the 2nd half. In the first half it took us an average of 2 minutes per drive. The 2nd half it took about 3.3 minutes per drive.

Thought the same thing but realized it would have been stupid to go for it. If they make it, they still have to go 35 or so yards with no time outs just to attempt a field goal. If they don't make it, we take over on the 35? yard line with 2 time outs and a good shot at scoring another touchdown.

I almost feel like Aranda and his staff were big into game study and game planning the week leading up to the game and this defensive staff doesnt watch tape and just reacts to what they see in the first half

I felt they basically conceded the loss after we went up 28-14, and just tried to play run the clock out at that point. Run the ball, and not let LSU put 70+ on the board.

They knew they couldn’t stop our offense so had to get out of their original game plan

That’s probably true

No he shouldn’t. It’s been so bad this year, I think bringing him back causes players we need back to hit the portal and it sure as frick won’t help the already problematic recruiting.

He’s got to go.

We scored 56 points on 53 plays & that’s including Nuss’ 5 or 6 plays where we ran the ball

LSU offense started pulling away. Forced Georgia st to take chances and play a different offense then they normally would. In doing so they fell apart.

Lets see aaaaaahhhhhh Matt House? A lot of you here pounce like gazelles on House when you "precieve" he's done a poor job yet I only hear crickets when we shutout an opponent for 2 quarters. Also House does not coach every position on defense plus we don't have our D Line coach. We lost our best D lineman, Wingo, Smith playing himself into shape and our 2 best DB's in Brooks and Alexander.

When we have better and more experienced players on defense I will judge House.
