i'm guessing he thinks he'll be drafted 2nd-3rd round.come in and be really productive and make his money on his second contract.does anyone really believe our "balanced" offense next year will be any less than 60% run?

I believe RR felt he didn't get enough opportunity here to show his talents. Believe his parents were also unhappy about this.

Randle goes to the draft

Maybe he's gettng it from the fact that he left. Not hard to figure out.

So because he left, that means he's mad about not getting enough opportunity to show his talent?

There's no way he left because he thought he'd get drafted high enough huh?

You people are geniuses.

Rumblings from people that are close to the Randle fam have said this numerous times. Word is RR thinks going to Oklahoma would have been better for his career, and that leaving early was always the family plan!

I for one completely understand his feelings if that's true. But I'm glad he chose to represent his state, he still had a really good career!

Other than what was reported by other people after he finished the season I don't remember RR ever being a problem as a complainer. In fact I don't recall RR saying much of anything. He made a decision about his future based on what he felt was best. That's about all there is to it. I don't understand LSU fans ripping this kid and acting like they want him to fail at the next level just to prove some kind of point. I wish him the best and hope he thrives as a pro.

If he complains he is unrealistic. He was given tons of chances to shine, did well, was in NC contending team. If he wasn't excited that his TEAM performed well, and he was a big part of the success I would be surprised.

He left to get in the league, and as many posters here have stated, tha big first round money isn't there anymore, all the money will be made in the second contract.

RR has been a class act and great player for us! It would have been very easy for him to complain and sulk at various times here....he probably knew in his gut that he would have gotten 9 to 10 targets a game at OU, thus giving him a chance to be a 1st rd pick! It is what it is....he stayed true to his state and had a good career with some great moments, but was underutilized at times....I'll always appreciate his commitment and time as a Tiger, cause it probably cost him a few million dollars in the end!

Everything I've ever heard about both him and his family is they are wonderful people, and very classy. No one can blame the guy if he was frustrated the second part of the season. He didn't see the ball much which was a shame. Good luck to the guy at the next level. He deserves it.

RR was a great player for LSU an dall I've ver heard about him personnal is good.
If I was his dad, I would wonder if he made the right college choice, in retrospect.
He never had the opportunity to fully show off his talents.
I watched him over and over run wide open thru opposing defenses to never get a shot at the ball.
If you didn't see that on 1/9 you weren't watching.
I would be frustrated, too.

I suspect that the reason Randle left for the draft was that his evaluation came back good enough that he was assured of pretty good draft position...therefore...

His desire to make a ton of money playing football exceeded his desire to make nothing playing football while going to class everyday.

This is generally why every kid leaves for the NFL.

...now if Shep would have left...than you have a story.

My point is he should have looked at the bigger picture.

What makes you think he didn't? Maybe he looked at the big picture and came to a decision that he felt was best for him. Have you ever thought that Randle may have a different opinion than you of what is best for him? I know this is a strange idea but it is possible.

He hasn't complained once. He had already told people before the UGA game that he was going to the NFL. If we would've won the NC, he was going to declare, so why does it shock people that he did?

Once he gets his pro day and gets to workout for NFL scouts he is being predicted by some to be a late first rounder all the way to a third rounder. I personally think his size and speed makes him closer to a late 1st to mid-2nd rounder. I said in another thread I wouldn't be surprised at all if the patriots grabbed him with one of their 2 late 1st round picks. He is 6'4 and can be a good downfield threat.

I have heard several people say they thought RR2 left because he was mad at 1/9/12, but if you read what has been reported by people who would have more knowledge of the situation, he was leaning heavily toward the NFL before the end of the season. Not a surprise he left. We all thought he was going to and he did. He didn't complain. He didn't do it out of anger or spite. He did it becasue he will be a high draft pick in the NFL. Nothing more, nothign less

I don't think randle is upset. But anyone blaming the qbs on where our wr get drafted is stupid. RR didn't make the best of his opportunities, neither did Terrance. Those guys are not the same caliber as aj green, floyd, blackmon. I've seen them drop balls that elite wr don't drop.

That was evident when he basically blackmailed LSU into not offering a scholarship to the reciever who preceeded him in high school and ended up going to Auburn

Blackmailed isn't the proper term, and given the two in question LSU came out 1000% better.

well, he had a season high in receiving yards against Arkansas with 134, and in none of the last 5 games did he have less receptions or yards than his 1 for 10 performance against Oregon, so....

Horse shite. RR made the absolute most of his opportunities. In fact, he excelled despite poor to average QB play.

After the Auburn game, he had one really good game, and one other decent one. In 5 of those 6 games, he totaled 10 catches. The Arkansas game was an anomaly but was one of his best. LSU threw the ball nearly 30 times in that game. I highly imagine it was a frustrating stretch for him but who knows why he is going pro.

Personally, I think another year would help him tremendously but who knows? Maybe his desire to move on regardless is just higher than his desire to play for LSU one more year.
