Don't know why this matters. Very rare to have a player stay 4 years much less 5. Brennan is a rare exception. Nuss will be riding the pine all of next year with Brennan and Howard surpassing him on the depth chart. He'll get his redshirt then.

.

So then we might as well bubble wrap him until the season opener and then trot him out there. Certainly no water skiing or fishing or drinking at the fish camp wearing flip flops or anything life threatening like that. He’s fragile, I get it. But if he can’t make it through one game I’d rather find that out now than week 1.

If he’s not 100% then I get not playing. But if he’s healthy he should play and should want to. This not being the Super Bowl is no reason to sit out a healthy qb.

If you read between the lines, Nussmeier is gone after the bowl game.

It doesn't make logical sense to pass on an opportunity to start a game for a redshirt as a freshman, if you plan on being at that school.

Brennan coming back seals it.

He should just play anyway. If you are a good enough QB for the NFL, 4 years is all you need. If he doesn't beat out Howard next spring, he's transferring anyway.

Just put Nuss’s arse in there and be done with it. If he doesn’t want to play, move on already.

That’s my sentiment if he’s not hurt.

I don't think he makes it to next spring. I don't think he makes it to this spring.

If he's not playing in the bowl and they want him to, he would be in the portal now. He will be here next fall and probably next spring with a decision coming at that point.

He probably agreed to see if he'd get the waiver.

I don't think anyone wanting a shot at a school they are at passes on an opportunity to start. Do we even know if he's practicing? It wouldn't surprise me if he was already gone.

You have to put your name in the portal and it is public. He is not in there. If he was for sure leaving, there is zero reason he would not be in there now.

Lol the guy hasn’t played all year

But if he’s healthy and eligible, why wouldn’t he play? He may have been hurt but he had all spring summer and early fall in Peetz’s offense. He definitely knows the offense better than a walk-on or Kirklin.

I’M 40 I’M A MAN and I would give my left nut QB for LSU this bowl game.

Them 20 yard fly routes may be a problem.

frick yeah, install a new offense without coordinators in a few weeks to get the QB that hasn’t praciticed or played in a year to be the starter. What a great idea

This shite shouldn’t have to be explained to you man

The NCAA waived a rule to allow cheaters to play to appease the Sugar Bowl.

LSU isn’t in the situation they’re in now due to violating any rules. Brennan had a season ending injury. Johnson’s departure is a consequence of the NCAA’s shiny new rule.

quote:

The Sugar Bowl provided an exciting finish and a great game -- exactly what Sugar Bowl executives wanted -- all because of five players that should have been suspended. On a night where ESPN commentators side-stepped the suspensions like prize-fighters for 59 minutes, it was only fitting it came down to a member of the tattoo crew with the game on the line.

So far that reason, no player with the possibility of going pro, should play in a bowl?

It depends on the player. 99% of them can benefit from more film and exposure.

If your a Damone Clark though- I would look at Jaylon Smith.

What does Damone have left to proof and for what? That goofy fake gold hat? Lol ok

We keep score in the tiger bowl every year. You want our starters going full speed in that scrimmage? I mean you said score is the only thing that matters

I fricking love guys like you honestly. I say he shouldn’t ply in the Texas bowl because he’s not ready, our Oline is trash and it makes no sense to risk his heath when he’s not ready to go.

You’re response

“He can’t wear flip flops”

You can be mad at Myles, me and everyone in this world- no one with any sense at al would put Myles on that field. It’s retarded and makes zero fricking sense.

He’s coming off a major surgery and hasn’t practiced this year. He’s not going to play in a useless fricking scrimmage.

We only have 1 real shot at success next year and that’s if Myles comes back strong and becomes one of the best in the conference. If Myles isn’t a dog next year then we’re looking at best 8-4

But apparently it’s too hard for you too look 9 months ahead and see that

He’s not ready. He shouldn’t and he’s not going to play.

There has been very little coming out of bowl practices so far, including updates on player availability. Hopefully we will start to get more info closer to the bowl date.

Kelly’s offense will not be implemented for the bowl game it will be the Peetz garbage we have been seeing all year.

You can’t install an offense in 15 practices and expect it to be ready for a game.
