Scoring more, in almost all cases, well, in all cases, at least that I know of and I didn't have to go out of the country like Street Hawk so saw the game, and it got me to thinking right then and there that if, in theory, Alabama scored 20 points, then LSU needed to score 21 or more.
Score more points than they do.

Next question.
I mean, theoretically we don't have to score any points on offense. LSU and Bama can score on defense and special teams. So, not "next question."

1) Score some points.
2) Score more points than Bama.
Simple but Not Easy.

Triple reverses & flea flickers.

Start juicing like Alabama does. Oh, and getting the officials to ignore the holding by your offensive linemen doesn't hurt.

Better schemes & O line play..

You have to force Bama's secondary to be playmakers. You simply can not run on bama with a traditional run scheme. If it were me id spread them out with 4 wide and and have my rb run draws.
Also bama is the 1 team that you have to go against your tendencies. Their coaching staff is so good at recognizing tendencies of down and distance that you cant just go with what yoivr done all year. You also have to realize that you cant out bama, bama. You have to be aggressive.

The biggest goal for improvement is to develop the short to mid range passing game. You cannot depend on the long range bomb or just the running game to make hay against Bama. If LSU can execute a short passing game and run the ball for 3ypc then the longer passing game will be there as well.
This has been the problem for most all of the teams Bama has played this year except Ole Miss. Lets keep an eye on Clemson next week and see the whole offensive package they put on the field.

Not get their shite pushed in for 60 minutes

Actually make their defense think for a second when the ball is snapped and not just automatically know where the play is going.

Not get dominated at the LOS
This. We need an offensive lineman like a Faneca or Mawae who can pretty much obliterate anyone he blocks in a running situation

If you rewatch the game from this past season, the o line was anemic to say the least. I'm hoping for an improvement up front, because that was downright awful o line play.
Other teams with much weaker offensive lines have had much more effective games against Alabama relative to LSU. Hence, part of a new comprehensive effective offensive strategy is to have plays that will play to our strengths and to Alabama's weakness.
For instance, we can use shovel passes to use Alabama's speed rush to our advantage and do other similar creative things to offset and counter Alabama's speed to make them play us more honestly. We did none of those things before because we were stuck with Les Miles old unimaginative and antiquated offense, as Alabama's defense always new our plays before we even ran them. It's not just about becoming stronger on the offensive line, it's about taking a comprehensive approach to offense to play to our strengths and to their weaknesses.
I know it looked like our offensive line was bad, but that was because Alabama and other opponents as well always knew beforehand the plays we were going to run. It's been that way for years, which is why Miles' LSU teams mostly always had crappy arse offenses.

It's been the same formula for years and years. We've seen Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Ohio State, and Clemson use it time and again. A) spread set with 3 or 4 receivers. B) utilize hot routes in middle of the field in the seams. This requires a QB who can read defense, though, and pick up pre-snap blitz signals, so he'll know where his hots are. C) when lbs back off to close seams, hit TE's and RB's underneath coverage. D). When get a good clean pocket, hit receivers over the top, don't just drop off to a TE or RB safety valve.
Easy peazy.... just gotta execute and have a QB who don't have to look over at the sidelines before snap and can read defenses on the fly, know where they're coming from, call out blitzes for everyone, and deliver an accurate ball through the seams.
Edit:. I'll also add that you need a good center who can help QB call out lb blitzes, too. But in order to get to the point where those lbs are even blitzing, you have to be successful keeping a 3-man rush out of the QBs face. A QB who can and knows when to run will help discourage 3-man rushes. Against a 3-4, if you can't do anything on the ground, you WANT 1 or 2 of those lbs to come. That helps open up the middle even more.
...just gonna bump and leave this here once again.
Am I a prophet? Did I have a private convo with Dabo beforehand? Am I an offensive genius?
Nope, but I would like to submit this post to be considered for entry into O's binder. Won't even charge for it.
