One of the all time greats at LSU and in the NFL. Currently coaches at Ruston, his alma mater. I dont care about experiance, he has years of playing experience college and pro . No one would work harder, i think he needs to be reached out to.

If he can prove he can coach. That would be dumb otherwise. He hasn't proven that at any level. If he wants to come in as an assistant to get his feet wet in the shadow staff do it. As the DL coach? Hell no. Prove you can coach DL first. Many great players couldn't coach for shite.

We just fired an all time great who sucked as a coach. This is something O would do not BK.

Yea, that worked out well for us with Faulk.

It's LSU, we shouldn't be hiring anyone as a DL coach to come test the waters out here.

He should care more about grammar rather than who the next DL coach should be.

Just because a person can play does not mean they can coach. And you don't cut your teeth at a program like LSU. When you come to LSU your teeth should already be cut.

KW has 4 young kids and he’s spending much more time at home than he was in the NFL. College position coach is a grind, constantly on the road and long hours at the facilities. I’m 100% guessing but its hard to see him taking a college assistant job anytime soon.

Kevin Mawae is an NFL HOF OL. No offense to Kyle but he is not in the HOF.

We didn’t hire Kevin after he spent time instructing in the NFL. He was around town between both the Miles and Orgeron Era.

Being an LSU Legend and NFL Great doesn’t mean you get an immediate high level coaching gig. There’s too much on the line and a metric shite ton being asked of by position coaches in terms of recruiting commitment alone.

This. He is living his best life hanging with his kids, coaching high school football, and hunting and fishing. He would have no interest in the grind of coaching college football right now.
