These are basically still kids 18-22….

How do you teach them to control their emotions after big plays…?

Do you bench them? Serious question…

Two bone headed PI penalties pretty much cost the game.

Stop recruiting Louisiana kids?

This issue has spanned decades at this point.

You tell them they can only spend $20K this week instead of $30K.

It’s the upper classman penalties and mistakes that piss me off the most.

Will Campbell
Major Burns
Kyren

They’ve been in the program way too long for that shite. BK was supposed to bring discipline to the program. They’ve all been with him since day 1. And still the same bullshite undisciplined play

I still never understand how some of these guys still lead with their helmets…. even with the targeting rule in place.

Yes, you bench them. They have to understand that playing on the field is a privilege that a small percentage of people their age get to have. "Hard to achieve, but easy to lose," is the mindset of self discipline.

Lacey should be benched for the second game until he learns to control himself. The idiot "guns" gesture. Mouthing off to the opponent repeatedly.. Feeling the need to flex after a good catch in the second quarter. The "look at me" culture has taken over kids' minds. They're wired a different way. They need to learn some humility.

Exactly what you do. There are guys dying to play AND not be attention whores.
I saw BK trying to be strong against a player, then hugging him after .
That's a sign of weskness

This…

They pick that shite up watching Tic-Toc and YouTube. My kid watches these “shorts” of different sports with nothing but trash talking. It’s really bad…

Especially in the gaming world videos.

Gun gesture and we still lost - unacceptable. If you are going to gun gesture, make sure you score 2 more TDs. It's a bad look to do that and then lose.

Yeah there’s a difference between playing with passion/confidence and celebrating like you just made the play of the century after every 5 yard gain.

Play tough, but shut up and line up for the next play. They fought hard, but the team as a whole needs an attitude adjustment.

Did Campbell have a personal foul I missed?
a FS isn’t the same as taking your helmet off on the field or pretending to shoot a shotgun at a defender.

Had high hopes for Lacy, but I can see he has an immature mind.

How does any team or coach do it? Anyone that puts themselves over team sits. A team with individuals is the fastest way to ruin.

They are getting paid now, right? They wanted to be treated like professionals and compensated for their performance. So fine them when they do dumb crap on the field.

It’s pretty basic.

You score a touchdown or make a big offensive play, you hand the ball to the ref and head to the sideline or go back to the huddle. You don’t get up in the opponents face with gestures and general stupidity. If you do, you sit down on the bench.

You make a big play on defense or are excited after a big play get ready for the next play or get off the field after third down. You don’t take off your helmet and run around like a fool. If you do, you sit down on the bench.

Everyone worries about player sensitivities in this NIL era. Problems like these are with the players, accountability and a lack of coach instilling discipline.
