This is the answer. So basically LSU would have to finish 2nd in the overall conference standings, overtaking Florida. Unless somehow the SEC ends up getting 3 national seeds, which I really don't see happening. Short answer, finish #2 in the conference.

Auburn is going to be the real problem. They still have Bama on the schedule. That's 3 wins for them. They'll be 17-7 going into the final two weekends. Only need to go 3-3 in their final two series to get to 20 wins.
Even if LSU wins 2/3 against Auburn, they may not be able to catch them. Would LSU get a national seed over a team that finished with a better conference record?

It's pretty simple.
LSU must
a) win 20 games in conference
b) finish first in the SEC West
If they accomplish this they'll get a national seed on RPI alone

20 wins and we have a very real shot. 20 wins a couple wins in the SEC tourny and its likely.
Need to sweep this weekend. USCe is on their heels, we have them at home, and the last 2 series will be much harder.

I say that with confidence.
19-11 would certainty still put them right there but that would mean both Auburn and Miss St. go 5-4 over these next three weeks and both loss series to LSU.

LSU winning these last three series would get them a regional host... they would have to play deep into sec tourney to get a seed.
