I expected the coaching not to suck. How many times over the years have teams with far less talent than lsu played well against lsu because their coaching was fantastic? I expected our coaching to overcome some of our deficiencies just like teams have done against lsu. It didn’t happen and it’s frustrating because it would have likely gotten us a win.

Hoping to see solid fundamentals and flashes of good football.

We got neither.

What’s your excuse for the 2 blocked kicks, shanked punt, and piss poor tackling?

I expect to win. That’s what Brian Kelly was hired to do. I expect them to iron out who can catch punts in fall camp. I expect them evaluate field goal blocking before week one. I expect the team to be disciplined and not make stupid fricking penalties. I expect us to not have to use timeouts coming out of a possession change (something Miles and O use to get killed on here for doing.)

I agree with a lot of what you said, but we were unprepared and looked like shite. I didn’t expect that.

This is all I wanted to see. And there was barely any of it.

OMG, are you his girlfriend or mom? What is this semantic bull?

At this level, doing something once isn't enough. Hell my toddler can snap a ball once. Snapping isn't about being physically able to do it once, its about doing it at a consistent level.

And your 99.5% is horrible math. We didn't run 100 plays on offense, and I pointed out two specific plays with issues and there were others with not great snaps.

The original post is about expectations. The last two weeks the head coach has specifically mentioned the snapping issue. So there is an expectation of having some issues heading into the game, which is the point.

Problem is hard to build back to excellence if you make shite hires like keeping Brad Davis, Denbrock and House. Our dbs were bad so we can probably through Cook in that group along with Polian.

Davis has had the single worst unit his entire time here and just gets excuse after excuse for them not being up to par. The concern is arky got better with his departure. His redeeming quality is he can recruit. So he at least had that.

Polian just put out the shiftiest special teams we have ever seen and I know he is a recruiter but god damn last night better be fixed or he has to go.

The biggest most concerning pieces are Denbrock and House.

Denbrock is old and stale it’s like cam Cameron in the booth again. He made almost no adjustments and FSU let us back in by stopping the pressure. His playbook is old boring and not modern and we don’t have the horses to make it work. His offense will never beat Bama. It was a questionable hire to start with and shouldn’t have been made. You can’t have slow developing run or pass game with no oline. You have to have quick read and hit plays and instead we had a les miles offense. O hiring Peetz was a desperate move and the only guy he could get, Kelly hiring Denbrock was worse because he had his pick of the litter and he chose this shite show.

Matt House is the next biggest problem, he didn’t adjust until the very last series. We have a depleted secondary thanks to Corey Raymond refusing to do his job. However House shite the bed letting them just gauge us with no changes. Our dline played like piss and our linebackers can’t tackle which is on House.

If we would bring more heat we probably have more success. Yes it opens us up to the big play but I’d rather a defense that is fast attacking and can make plays but will give up plays than sitting back in a soft zone and getting cut by underneath shite.

Kelly missing on oc and dc hires when he had his full pick of anyone because of his new job and our money and coming up with these two is bad.

I expect that shite from O but Kelly should have went out and got a creative offensive mind that can use the talent we have and he should have got a legit DC.

The position coaches at least can be used as recruiters to offset their negatives.

Offensive line was as expected.
Defense looked exactly like what I expected after the last two years.
Special teams were shockingly bad.

I expected the team to play tighter than last year, not worse.

Too many easy mistakes. I expected more from a Kelly team.

Yea I would be fine losing a game but the way we looked last night wasn’t acceptable at all.

I get Kelly trying to be a statute instead of acting like Ed O but Saban at least shows emotion and gets pissed when execution isn’t there.

He did tell us all offseason as how the players didn’t know what organized practices were.

It’s a huge learning curve, I expected it

This.

And I expect some significant improvements over the course of the season, or I will lose faith in BK. There were some flashes of greatness last night. But overall that was a disjointed mess.

I expected a more put together offensive line to say the least and a put returner who can actually catch a ball.

The mentality of some of these players is what is causing a lot of these issues. Your greatest weapon looked like he did not give a shite last night. He has no care at all. That is a toxic problem, and one that is exasperated by the fact that he is your star player.

I thiught We’d come out cleaner on office.

I know it was way optimistic but I didn’t see the OL being this bad.

Where was this logic prior to Sunday night. Rating this season as a success considering what CBK inherited and is building, 7-5 was always a really good mark for year one. Hope we get there...

How do you account for the lack of defense, special teams, ten points in three quarters.

I expected more!
