only watched a couple of series but I saw McMillan check down and dump one off to the fullback. That was awesome. We'd be o.k. if he had to take the reins (Though it's absolutely excellent to have some depth). Kid's a gamer

You didn't watch enough if you think we'd be okay with McMillan at QB. He was by far the worst scholarship QB yesterday. It's evident he has talent but you could tell he's no where near ready to play against serious competition.

First and second teams didn't run too many blitzes. Possibly because they haven't fully installed blitz packages.

I think they said the defense was only allowed to run 3 plays.

Aranda actually likes Duke Riley and he's done a good job this spring. And Riley has played in a 3-4 D at John Curtis.

How do you know he isn't any good when he's rarely been on the field on D in the past? He's flashed when he's been on the field in special teams and the rare series of 2 on D. Did you say the same thing about Debo before last year? And he's the same size as Debo, who had a great season for us and is going to be drafted in the top 3 rounds in the NFL.

Too small of a sample size so say that Riley isn't good and is going to be a liability.

Xavier Lewis was the surprise standout to me on defense. Great tackler and had a couple of "sacks" blitzing from the nickel. Should be a good option to step in if Dwayne Thomas isn't 100%

You're right the sample size is too small for me to be certan but for an ilb in a 3-4 where you're not protected and have to take on guards a lot of the time he's very small. And the times he's been on the field in his career on d and special teams he's been awful

As far as Debo I've been a fan of his since hs but he was way too small to play before last year when he finally put on about 15lbs

What? Riley has been one of our best special teams players for 2 seasons now. And while not being a notable factor on defense, he has been a solid backup player his whole career. I can't think of anything he's done that's been "terrible". Care to link some examples?

Re-watch some games this summer they'll replay em on sec I'm sure and I think you'll find his play sub-par special teams if you remember were terrible he was a part of that maybe I'm just remembering the bad plays I'll re watch also and change my view if I see different
