magine what you have to do to get kicked off the team during the Les Miles era

This^^^^Many of the suspensions during the Miles Era were University mandated, and had it been up to Miles likely would not have occurred. That Miles actually and finally had to step up and cut ties tells you RP left him no other choice due to the sheer volume of his actions.

3. October 2007 - Perrilloux was in a barroom brawl near the LSU campus. He was questioned by Baton Rouge Police but not arrested. Miles suspended him for the Nov. 3 Alabama game, however, and he did not make the trip to Tuscaloosa, Ala. He re-joined the team two days after the game.

Was this the one they had video of in the parking lot behind Chimes?

Probably something similar to the other 4 times he played against Bama, although it wouldn’t have hurt in hindsight. The larger issue was the gameplay and refusal to adapt/alter prior to or during.

08: 13/34 for 181yds, 1 TD, 4INT

09: 4/10 for 44yds, 0 Ts, 1 INT

10: 4/7 for 67 yds, 0 TDs, 0 ints,

11 (regular season): 3/7 for 24 yds, 0tds, 2ints.

I believe that was it....or maybe that was Jordan Jefferson in that one.
RP was a huge wast of talent, just didn't have it between the ears and was spoiled because he thought he could do whatever he wanted.
I remember the tug o war between LSU and Texas for him. Both Colt McCoy and Perrilloux were recruited and I believe whichever one got Perrilloux, McCoy would go to the other school. Would've great to see Perrilloux go to Texas.

Saban refused to take him because of his attitude.

Miles came in and was desperate to have a good recruiting class so he pursued him.

Players Saban doesn't want usually don't work out.

This was the last straw. And at some point I guess enough is enough.

On May 2, 2008, LSU head coach Les Miles kicked Perrilloux off the team for "not fulfilling his obligation" as an LSU student-athlete. He is reported to have a failed a drug test due to marijuana, missed a team meeting, skipped classes and was late for a handful of conditioning workouts.

I mean you are the starting QB, no one left in front of you. Just chill out for one off-season.

Ryan eventually matured and did a great Interview and owned up to all of his mistakes. It’s online somewhere, if you Google it. Can’t remember who the news outlet was.

Ryan went on to get drafted by the NYG and got a nice contract. He found himself under the blitzkrieg spotlight of LSU football. Was demonized on this board, but he was not as bad as he was made out to be.

A lack of home training, parental guidance, and fatherly discipline contributes to many of these kids social issues.

What if Paul Dietzel doesn’t leave and go to Army?

What if LSU beats Florida State in 1979 ( lost 24-19 ). Bobby Bowden said on more than one occasion if He had lost to LSU he would have taken LSU job and replaced Cholly Mac ( he was offered ).

What if the man who was hired Bo Rien doesn’t die in a plane crash? He was the hottest up and coming coach.

What if LSU hires Steve Spurrier who desperately wanted the LSU job in 1986 when Arnparger stepped down.

What if Saban realizes in 2004 that the NFL Isn’t for him and he never takes the Dolphins job?

I remember when Derrick Odom got on the Rant or the OT Lounge wanting to fight everyone. It went on for a few hours until it was erased.

LSU did get lucky with Skip and Saban and Mulkey though. I guess it evens out if you play the “what if” game long enough. Even O hit the lottery with Joe Burrow.
