Studies on the topic suck. Wade and Mulkey deserve better.

I remember in 1994 freshman at LSU sitting in one of my classes the professor was excited about that infamous loop, going on and on about it.

They need tax dollars to pull it off. A lot of tax dollars.

Which was why it was stupid to close the golf course right now. It could be years before they turn that first shovelful of dirt on that arena—if they ever do.

Arnsparger didn’t screw much up, but I didn’t care for those either.

I don’t know what he said but they had to put a pause on the design when all the leadership changes were happening. They are planning are starting the design process back up in the next couple of months.

That should have been COMPLETED 30 years ago

Dysfunctional shitehole Louisiana is always a day late and a dollar short.

Only those with a "Low Vibration" want to live and work in the Hole.

That includes LSU fans that are compulsively obsessed and possessed by that Pumpazuzu Demon. They simply can't survive without LSU Football and Athletics.

Pay was the “Demon of The Northwest Wind”: Was Pumpazuzu his Gas Station?

Back to Pazuzu, he originally possessed an African Boy, and Jesuit Priest Rev Marin, first exorcised him. Then, during an archaeological dig in Northern Iraq, Marin found a shield Icon of Pazuzu. Marin thought it odd that a warrior would use an evil icon to protect oneself against evil. Being an archeologist and Exorcist, he was summoned to Georgetown University to exorcise pazuzu the 2nd time. Remember Linda Blair as Reagan?
Did not expect that eh???

Rousse quote from an article posted by the advocate: "The arena when I got here was a little different than what it turns out to be now. There is money in that account. Nothing has been spent yet. Where its [going to be spent depends on if we end up getting an arena or not. The EDD has been earmarked in terms of structural issues that it needs to be spent on. You can imagine if you drive our campus and see some of the potholes in our campus and concrete that is broken, that we have a lot of places to spend them." The article also says that Rousse stated that LSU is still "looking for funds for the arena"

So within about 2 years we went from LSU is getting an arena and the developer is paying for it, to LSU is developing an EDD and closing the golf course to build the arena to "we're not sure if we're going to get an arena and we may just spend the extra money on potholes". Meanwhile we continue to have one of the worst basketball arenas in the SEC with the ceiling falling apart and rats in the concourse. This is like the fifth fricking time that the ole bait and switch has been pulled on the fans (I still remember Alleva promising a complete PMAC renovation back in 2018 and promises of renovations wayyy before that). The level of incompetence is infuriating

I thought an incremental tax was always part of the arena project?

I get everyone loathes taxes but at least the public would finally see a tangible return. What the frick has Baton Rouge seen from its tax dollars over the last 50 years?

In the era of NIL, nobody cares if you play in a high school stadium or the United Arena. Let's not build the stadium but invest it in a PE fund. It can pay for the players.
