If there are other colleges which believe that Les can win ~80% with his brand of football, he won't have a problem getting another high profile coaching opportunity. That's not meant to be a knock on Les but more of a reality check on the situation that we are in. It sucks for Les and it sucks for LSU but college football is big business and $$ rules. That reality also provided leverage for Les a few years back and he'll walk with a heavier wallet because of it. Does anyone believe that Les was getting the Arky job a few years ago?

It's interesting that the same media clowns who made fun of Les over the years are now using his record to take shots at LSU. How many times did we hear sportscasters asking how LSU lost games with Jeremy Hill, ODB, Landry, and Mett on the same roster? Les has never been willing to adjust his coaching strategy based on the strength of his roster. In some ways I can respect that but it is ultimately what will lead to his dismissal.

Les spent 11 years doing what he loves and has financial security for the rest of his life. He did it his way for 11 years and that led to 110 wins. He will be remembered as one of the greatest and will always be a Tiger in my mind. The W/L stats don't change the fact that the game has passed him by.

Les brings Missouri into Tiger Stadium next season and whips up on Chip Kelly's Tigers.

Les could end up coaching in one of the power conferences. His record at LSU will earn him a look whenever a job becomes available. Might see him at a lesser Big 10 or Big 12 school.

I doubt if he ends up in the SEC. Only a couple of teams in the east that would hire him.

Miles/Bama fan.

Beefense, don't see you jumping this a-hole because he wants LSU to lose. Wonder why that is...

I thought you were a knight and shining armor for dear old LSU.

But you won't because you're just like him. A Bama fan who wants us to keep miles for 10 more years.

Spare me the "I've done said I wanted a change" bullshite you've been spewing out that dumb a-hole under you nose.

You make 5 posts saying you want change, but make 100 more still knighting to keep miles.

I'll be glad to lose "fans" like you and that piece of shite above when miles does leave.

frick you Bama pieces of shite.

Or indiana, Illinois. At some point they will make a coaching change and Les would be a prime candidate if he's interested.

Les will be fine. He will end up at Minnesota at probably $2M and back at his beloved Big 10. Where they still run Bo-ball.

He won't win the Big10 (it will always be Big10 to Les), but will get one or two games at The Big House, albeit on the other side.

I don't think he will coach again. Not because he isn't good enough. I just think the man has made his share of money and ends it with spending time with the family. If he does coach again I wouldn't be surprised if he went to the NFL. This is just my opinion/idea.

Maryland, Illinois are looking. He could win at both schools and would probably fit in the Big 10 and the ACC.

There are a few other power 5 schools that will be looking next year.

He has options. It is more about him wanting to rebuild a program. He didn't have to do that here.

Zero elite programs will offer him a head coaching position. Do not kid yourself. I could see lower tier programs offering him jobs like Indiana, Kansas, Tulane, SMU, North Carolina State, Akron, Western Michigan, Wyoming, North Dakota, or Rice.

His phone will ring off the hook and he will be able to pick and choose whatever he would like.

And he'll win too wherever he goes.

A power 5 school is not lower tier. He could win at several places that are not the dominant teams in their conference. He could do very well at a place like Illinois. He could get paid alot of money (not LSU money), but not many places pay what we pay.

I just don't think he is at the age to build a program. It also takes drive and determination, to make a place a winner. Why would he want to do that. TV is probably in the cards.
