What Better Time for Ma’Khail to Shove Than Today.

IF Hilliard gets the start, his calming presence and experience will be huge for us, IMO.
He also has a chance to redo his last Alex Box appearance, since the last one didn’t go so well.
With Pops looking down on him, let’s go win a regional, Mike.

I’m really going to miss Hilliard
He’s been fun to watch over his career

Hilliard has the same quality to him that Jacob Hester or Skylar Mays had while they were at LSU. They are all guys that are purely great college players that don't appear to have the physical traits to go pro. I love these types of guys because they appreciate the college game more than the guys that know LSU is just a stopping point on their way to the pros. (Thats not to say I dislike the pro potential guys).
Both Hester and Mays worked their tails off in college and got a shot at the pros and both have had or are having moderate success too. Here is to hoping Hilliard is the next Tiger great that surprises people and has a good pro career despite not having all the traditional physical traits!

I’d like to see 4 or 5 Hilliard mound skips today.

Hilliard is what is known as a program player.

I think Hilliard will pitch well, especially 1 time through the order. We need to score early, and hope he can wiggle through the order twice. Anything more is lagniappe. I've been impressed with USM at the plate against us, so twice through the order would be huge.

Probably can reasonably expect him to go 50-60 pitches. Hopefully thats 3-4 innings.

Let me tell you something, Hilliard is a true tiger. He’ll be forgotten as the years past by the casuals, but real fans will remember him.

Ma’Khail wins it for us today. Pitches 4 innings and gives up zero runs.

If Hilliard starts and doesn’t get the ball down in the zone it’s going to be a long day for him.

LSU will face Southern Miss ace Tanner Hall (Zachary high) who should’ve been at LSU Smh.

I hope so. After 109 pitches on Friday, no way he'll be as sharp as usual.

Hope he's ready. As my grandmother would say, "We're gonna tan his hide!"

Today is the day of The Expanding Tiger...Ma'Khail is...the man! Go forth and downvote away, but...I feel a LSU win in my arthritic bones today!
