Great freshman year and huge piece of a championship team on defense.

Cruised the next two years to avoid major injury to get draft prep.

Thank you Sting. And good luck.

But hoping Kelly gets more guys that buy in full time.

I look at Stingley as a guy with a ton of talent who had an incomplete career here, almost like what could’ve been because he came here with so much hype and was so good as a freshman.

I think if he kills it in the NFL, a lot of fans will warm up to him.. just like Mathieu and Chase.

All he did was show enough to secure a top draft pick and not get hurt. Probably had something to do with his grandpa’s injury is why him and his dad managed his college career the way they did. It didn’t help LSU was dog shite the last 2 years which probably contributed to it.

Had a chance to be a legend. Ended up a good player with a self centered attitude and a short career.

And despite what a ton of folks want to believe, I don’t think there’s a snowball’s chance in hell that he had a completely unnecessary surgery in the middle of his money year just so he could opt out of the rest of the season.

Rumor was it was a Lisfranc injury which is kinda significant. I’m sure we’ll hear more (and probably get some specifics) around draft time.

If there’s a continuuum for being a true tiger… he’s much closer to Ben Simmons than Tyrann Matthieu on that spectrum. Great player and teammate in 2019, but obviously checked out after that and I don’t expect him to talk any about LSU in the pros or support LSU in any way.

Everybody says this, but it seems he did a pretty shitty job if his college career ended with surgery.

He was a huge part of our 2019 championship run perand shite run. I will be forever grateful to him for that period that being said he had the opportunity to be thought of as one of the all time great at LSU but he didn't really care about LSU. His goal was to get into the NFL and use LSU to do it along the way. He probably would have tried to tough it out a little more if the last 2 seasons hadn't been so Mismanaged by the coaching staff.

All in all it was a career that could have been better but didn't live up to the incoming hype

HB was kicked off team, hardly a quitter. Chase opted out just like alot of superstar players during the first year if COVID.

In HS, Stingley was laser-timed running a 4.30 flat 40.

He may or may not still be that fast, but anything close to that speed at Combine/Pro Day, along with his prototype measurables & technique, guarantees he'll be a Top 3 NFL pick, despite any later dip in performance or injury concerns.

After being 1st team All American in his freshmen championship season, he was in the conversation to have his name in the ring by the time he finished. He found himself injured and in a dumpster fire his next two seasons. He will go high in the draft and be remembered as a great player who didn't get to finish what he started.

Unless I missed something, he was a good ambassador and trouble free. Best of luck to him.

If you're trying to say the recent best I think you need to swap Webster with Claiborne or just add Webster to the list

Nah. When I think of LSU defensive greats, he is an after thought. It’s a shame we didn’t get more out of him.
