re: What are your concerns, if any, with this baseball team?

I think he is referring to if there is one batter in the 9th then in the box score it shows as 9 innings. I'm not going to defend this guy any more. I don't think he thought this through.

What the opposing coach said regarding how classy our fans were.

a couple
Middle inning relief pitchers, our pen has two really solid pitchers but they usually can't come in till the 8th 7th at the earliest. If our starter gets in trouble can our pen hold a game close, or if on a friday night Nola is pitching well but guys are making him work, he starts to lose in control in the 6th could our middle relief guys hold a 2 or 3 run lead.
Sunday Starter, had a good outing but it was Auburn they kinda suck.
Bottom of the order simply can't hit that well, if bregman Katz and Rhymes cool off at all we will lose lots of games.
but as far as each of these problems go
1) not to concerned we have a solid 1 2 punch of starters, and they usually can go 6+ innings.
2) see above
3) Katz Bregman and Rhymes will most likely make up for the poor hitting at the bottom of the lineup, plus Jones and Ross are veterans they could break out of their slump at any time.
This is going to be a great year for LSU.

Middle relief is a little concerning, but that's about it.

Coon's corner attendance.

My biggest concern is wondering who the Rant will want to bench after next weekend.

Coon's corner attendance.
I miss the 90s when it seemed like every weekend there would be a line over the railroad tracks a few hours before the game. AKA coons corner on weekend was almost always packed.

Sorry I'm late to the party.
The only concern I could think of having is being worried about the team running out of gas or "peaking" too early.

Sunday Starter appears to be a inconsintent, and would like more hitting through out the order.

Did you not see the Friday night game vs Miss St? Basically this exact scenario played out and LSU won

No, it's not. Not after someone has corrected the "27" to "24" from a three-game series. Anyone who knows baseball would immediately understand.
You're a dick!

Also, Katz only hit one homerun this weekend.
WTF?

Really good pitchers find a way to get the first pitch in for a call strike. Too many times our pitchers are working from behind in count. With a 2-0 or 3-1 count, opposing batters are sitting on a fast ball which results in lots of base hits. This will come back to bite us down the road as SEC play develops. When our pitchers get ahead in count, sliders & change ups become so effective.

I am concerned with people who are looking for things to be concerned about

Not a cncern per se but timely hitting is and always will be the difference against good team in big games. It helps greatly if you can hit 1-9 which this team has shown it can do. I also like the fact we have some left handed hitting on the bench. Lastly "Baseball Fortune" will determine how far we go.

Bregman and Rhymes can't keep up this pace but I'd love to be mistaken about that. Simply this-Jones and Ross need to get the hell away from the Mendoza line.
