5. Texas A&M
6. South Carolina
7. LSU
8. Kentucky
9. Vanderbilt
10. Auburn
11. Alabama
12. Georgia
13. Tennessee
14. Missouri

Overall College Baseball:
1. Creighton
2. Miss State.
3. Arkansas.
4. Oklahoma State.
5. Ole Miss.

7. Florida
8. Texas A&M

*SEC teams that have announced that they will begin renovation plans within the next few years are Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas A&M.

*Miss State and Arkansa are the only SEC teams I know that have an indoor practice field along with having indoor bullpen and batting cages.

I'll admit that I've only really seen what they show on tv; but Florida's new facility still doesn't look that impressive. Not sure how they're that high on the list.

A&M's stadium also doesn't impress me that much.

To not have LSU as a Top 10 collegiate baseball stadium in the country is laughable. Remember, this is purely for stadium and not crowd/atmosphere; ex: the beer showers in the OF at Ole Miss.

I’d say in the SEC:

1.) MSU
2.) Arkansas
3.) LSU
4.) Ole Miss
5.) South Carolina

Blue Bell is ok but is small. I think Aggie is too high. Auburn and Bama probably too low.

A&M is also ahead of LSU and there are about to fall further behind with other schools doing major renovations. Stadium needs wrap around concourse, suites and chair backs to foul poles. As per most of facilities, it’s piecemeal’d.

If I have Ell disagreeing with me then I feel even more right.

For the record, my list only reflected Top 5 SEC schools, not Top 10 in the country. I also think saying “Creighton” at #1 when they have nothing to do with their stadium where the CWS is played is a cop out pick.

A percentage of LSU fans aren’t happy unless they’re shitting on LSU and they thrive on the Rant.

While the Box certainly needs improvement, not ranking it in the top 10 college baseball stadiums in then US is ridiculous.

Newer is not necessarily “better”

Of note back in 2003 Baseball America stated that Auburn had the overall college baseball venue in the country.

3. Ole Miss

too high
quote:

9. Vanderbilt

way too high. Vandy's stadium is a cracker jack box squeezed in between their football and basketball stadiums.
quote:

13. Tennessee

should be above Vandy, Missouri, and Georgia
quote:

6. South Carolina

too low. I'd have them at 3
quote:

7. LSU

I know it's en vogue to trash the baseball stadium, but overall facilities wise, LSU is not 7th in the SEC. The players' facilities are as good as anyone's and better than most
quote:

11. Alabama

too low. Alabama has a really nice stadium despite no one caring about their baseball team. It's similar to Florida's who you have at 4
quote:

4. Florida

too high. It's a lot better than what they had, but it's essentiality a small grandstand with a berm around the rest of the stadium

I'd go with something like

1. State
2. Arkansas
3. South Carolina
4. LSU
5. Ole Miss
6. A&M
7. Alabama
8. Florida
9. Auburn
10. Kentucky
11. Tennessee
12. UGA
13. Vandy
14. Missouri

in 2003, most of the stadiums on this list didn't exist or were much, much smaller without any amenities. Of the nicer stadiums, only Baum was close to its current form

I feel like we need a separate ranking for player facilities at this point. It’s essentially the only thing propping up a crappy park with lots of bleacher space. And I love the box.

Could our stadium be nicer, sure. But would I call it crappy, absolutely not. They could fix a lot of the issues pretty easily. Chairbacks in the entire stadium alone and building a structure to replace the bleachers in the outfield would make it look significantly better. Or making the adds on the outfield white instead of colored graphics and building a permanent batter's eye instead of using a tarp on PVC pipe. Those are largely pretty simple aesthetic renovations. I can assure you not a single college baseball team walks into Alex Box and think "wow, what a dump."

The box experience greatly varies. If you’re in the club or suite, it’s perfectly fine. It’s when you get outside of the grandstand, the fans get shite on. Then you have things that just look cheaply done and even tacky. The ads, the batters eye, that fricking monstrosity in right with the company that shall not be named. I truly don’t think people understand how far other schools have gone to make their stadiums a nice, fun place to spend 4 hours.

Florida Gators’ $65 million baseball field complete

MSU’s $68 million baseball stadium opens to rave reviews

When you compare those two new stadiums. It looks like you can get a whole lot extra for 3 million dollars in MS
