Realistically, he's good enough to get drafted, and he'll stick around the NFL for awhile.

Seriously, based on what?

Honestly, it's pretty fricking disgusting that so many supposed LSU fans are so hateful towards a guy that's stuck with LSU so loyally.
being realistic isn’t hateful.

You can be realistic and keep the negative arse comments to yourself. But people here always seem to get their rocks off on belittling players at every opportunity. Brennan has been nothing but a loyal class act to LSU, and doesnt deserve the diatribe some on here give him.

We really don’t know this at all.

I’ve seen posters cite Matt Cassel and Kyle Allen as if those guys get drafted and play out lengthy NFL careers all the time. It is not realistic to expect Brennan to be drafted and stick it out in the NFL if he cannot win the starting job this season.

He's shown some positive attributes in his time here, and he'll have the opportunity to show more this season.

Plus, after an extremely weak QB draft class in 2022, a lot of guys will get chances next spring.

Okay?

The poster responded to someone that said Brennan may be an UDFA if he doesn’t start this year. That isn’t hating on Brennan in any way.

Daniels isnt an SEC-caliber quarterback

He could possibly transfer and start at a Conference USA or Fun Belt school

Amazing how some folks assume or fantasize so much junk!
No "insider info" but in my opinion Nuss wont start because he quit on this team last year and forced the staff to play a guy who hasnt taken a snap since High School.
Daniels may be mobile but from what I have seen isnt as accurate as Brennan.

My opinion is that Kelly goes with loyalty and experience with Miles.

Loyalty: as in entered the transfer portal and had to be persuaded to stick around

Experience: as in less experience than Daniels

I have no idea who the best QB on the roster is and who will start but citing the above as why it will be Brennan is a stretch at best.

Well, lengthy is kind of a relative term, but I could see him showing enough this season to earn a draft pick and stay in the league for a few years as a back-up/third stringer.

Maybe he surprises us and has a great season, or maybe he's already taken his last snap.

Brennan: Late round draft pick.
good lord.

Only about a dozen college QBs get drafted each year. You honestly think Brennan will get drafted?!?!

Those P&G glasses are blinding you.

The premise is that he can’t win the starting job. Hence my comments.

If he wins the job, then absolutely he could show enough to at least get drafted (when being dependent on the level of play).

I guarantee none of this will factor into the competition.

Loyalty....yes..He had no idea who the OC was gonna be or which direction the H,C. was gonna go.

Loyalty as in Daniels quiting on ASU...and Nuss watching on TV when he should have been with his TEAM PLAYING!!

Miles has taken a beating to stick around to play. Was having a great season before he was injured against Mizzo.

I have no "inside sources" but just a feeling that Kelly goes with the experience of Brennan over the lack of consistency of Daniels and the cowardice of Nuss!!

Again...just my opinion...but all I want is what everyone else wants.....JUST WIN BABY!

Well it’s a two horse race with Brennan on the outside according to Culotta.

No purple and gold glasses. A few QB's that ordinarily might not get drafted will be picked up this spring. No reason Brennan can't be one of them.

I can guarantee you that none of this will have any role in who Kelly decides to start at QB.

All I'll say in regards to the QBs and who the starter is a reminder to the board that Denbrock and CBK are still trying to figure it out.

I mention this because to do that they have to see them all with the 1's. Normally, they know who they want to pick and only talk about an open competition. Then the guy they want to win it gets the majority of the reps with the 1's. It's a rigged competition... often.

In this case all will get extended time with the 1's, throwing some (the minority) on this board into a tizzy every time it changes. So get ready for those "head fakes", which aren't head fakes at all but are those QBs being tested on even ground.

Honestly...I don't care who wins the job as long as the job gets done.
I admire Brennan for sticking around and Daniels coming in from ASU. Who knows...Kelly may shock us all if Walker Howard lines up for the first snap!!
