That was such an odd statement by Madking

2005:
Auburn finished 14 with a 9-3 record
Alabama finished 8 with a 10-2 record
LSU finished 5 with a 11-2 record
Florida finished 12 with a 9-3 record
Georgia finished 10 with a 10-3 record

2006:
Florida finished 1 with a 13-1 record
Tennessee finished 25 with a 9-4 record
Georgia finished 23 with a 9-4 record
Arkansas finished 15 with a 10-4 record
Auburn finished 9 with 11-2 record
LSU finished 3 with a 11-2 record

2007:
Tennessee finished 12 with a 10-4 record
Georgia finished 2 with an 11-2 record
Florida finished 13 with a 9-4 record
LSU finished 1 with a 12-2 record
Auburn finished 15 with a 9-4 record

2008:
Florida finished 1 with a 13-1 record
Georgia finished 13 with a 10-3 record
Alabama finished 6 with a 10-2 record
Ole Miss finished 14 with a 9-4 record

but hey the SEC was down and the worst period... I love revisionist memories

Yeah when you look at that game with zero context.

I get it, you hate miles, but to act like that game happens by itself with no extenuating circumstances from Katrina and it's effects on everyone in south east Louisiana, it brings in to question taking you serious.

The loss sucked. It was my first game in Tiger Stadium as a student. My childhood home was in ruins. I wanted that win badly for my own personal morale.
But I would never call that loss any where near the worst ever. It doesn't make any sense.

where did i say there wasn't extenuating circumstances. If you were there you watched that game and the beginning of many games in which Miles had a team beat but chose not to put them away...tell me I am wrong with that statement. And don't blame the hurricane we were up 21-0 at half. Those players welcomed the games to get away from what was happening around them. I could understand your point if we came out flat but we didn't and were ready.

Not when you take his M.O. into account.

I don't consider that Tennessee loss the worst ever, mainly because the practice had been disrupted, with everything going on, etc.... You could tell in the second half it was a different team they didn't have the hype and energy and I think that had to do with the fact they had not really practiced like normal.

I saw a team looking completely exhausted out there by the middle of the second quarter.

I didn't think they would squander the lead though and I'm not making excuses for a bad loss.
I just think there is a little more outside influence on this game than other losses.

He's historically our most successful coach, and I wanted him fired at the end of 2015 (and probably before that if I'm being honest).

I've seen people bitching about Les even during a National Championship game saying he was lucky, LSU should fire him, etc....

Were you not around during that time?

Half the rant and Facebook fans wanted him fired during and immediately after the national title game

People called les lucky for years, saying LSU made him and anyone can win with the resources les had. I remember that very well

Yes they totally have post from 2007 left on this site, considering Chicken switched servers and lost almost everything before 2008/09

that is what made hating him so hard

I only hated his coaching style (not the type of running game we had but him not putting teams away) he was quite entertaining when interviewed. I don't think he got the most out of his talent.

I never recovered from his unwillingness to try something different on 1-9-2012, He just stayed with the game plan...didn't see if JL could spark us or anything.

I will call O out just like Miles. Trying to give him a chance before I do though.
