No offense, but if he couldn't come to grips that someone was better, then oh well. It sucks, but shite happens.

Wish the best for him, and maybe he could fine tune his skills with playing daily at Eunice and have a chance to make it back to LSU.

Wow, hope we get Jacoby, that must be the main reason he's leaving, doesn't think he'll get playing time. Can't blame him.

Is he a real 3B? Because seriously his play at that position I have seen MANY MANY better HS players play that position.

I would say I wish him luck but he is quiting the team and he is probably one of the worst 3rd basemen I have ever seen.

You talking about Delatte? If so, he wasn't bad in the field at all really.

He played SS in high school and couldn't beat out Nola, of course. I think you are being a little tough on him.

I was off getting married and on honeymoon during Dozar's try but I did catch all of Delatte's 5 errors. He never looked like a thirdbaseman. Was always very uncomfortable out there. I may have seen him field one hard shot the entire time. If he is really a SS then maybe thats why but at 3rd he looked like a fish out of water when I have seen him.

Oh, seemed fine to me. And by all accounts from Mainieri he was the best defensively at 3rd before the season started. Thought he lost his job because of his bat, which came around later in the year.

.891 was his fielding % only didier is lower on the team.

Mainieri also replaced him because he wasnt getting the job done at 3rd. Do you forget when CPM had to tell him that it was HIS position so he would have some sort of confidence.. Then 2 games later and a couple of errors later he was replaced by Dozar.

Was also before he discovered AE and this was in competition with Dozar and Kyle Koeneman...not exactly saying much is it

Didier wasnt any better thats for sure but in the few games he did play Didier I do recall him putting his body in front of balls and able to make a play. He just didnt make them. WD was so far out of position so many times that he never had a chance at balls that should have been routine outs. Both situations are bad which is why we replaced them both. But 3rd base was constantly the week spot all year long. CPM wasnt replacing them because of their at bats he was replacing them to stop the bleeding. Didier and Dozar would have never saw the field if Wet was remotely competent at 3rd.

Also Didier, who were all worse than him defensively. .891 is a little misleading considering the number of chances he had.
