Aaron Nola gave up a ton of HR in his Freshman season. Schmidt will be fine!

Aaron Nola didn’t walk as many guys in 3 years as Schmidt has in one season. I’m not looking up stats and this is hyperbole but cmon man they don’t compare. Just bc they both went to CHS doesn’t make them comparable.

Going into today, his WHIP was lower this year than Kade’s WHIP as a freshman last year.

The reality- Kade pitched high leverage innings in the SECT and Regional last year because he developed over the course of the season. Schmidt was never effective vs SEC or postseason competition and never turned that corner.

How'd you type that with such limp wrists? Do you have supports for them?

We are going to need some quality IPs from our BP if we want to finish this season on top. 1 or 2 current guys, who have not done it to date, are going to need to find the zone and get in a groove b/c at some point we will need them to win it all.

They aren't gonna have shite to say about Game 2, Ben. They've shot their hitting wad today. Eyanson might just shut their arse out!

Nola gave up 9 HR in almost 90 IP his freshman year

That's way way less of HR/IP rate than 6 in 33 innings

WV makes a lot of contact, I’ll give them that. Not a lot of swing and misses today. They’ve made LSU work to get outs.

I called them choking short of Omaha weeks ago. Happens often to upstart teams when they get on the big stage.
