I mean, we were DAMN good this year, but had a brutal schedule..and we still went 13-0 and only lost to the best team in the country the second time around...

I think 2012 will be the year that LSU starts putting up massive amounts of points on folks..Mettenberger will be the starter and is a gunslinger who is not hesitant in the pocket like Lee, and doesn't stare down the receiver or hold on to the ball too damn long like Jefferson

And with most of our young D returning as well as our running backs, I think Tiger fans can expect for another spectacular season next year with an even stronger defense and more productive offense in the hands of Mett..

Can't wait...already

No one is pissed that we lost.

How we lost on the other hand...

At the beginning of the season, not no, but hell no. Especially after the off-season troubles we had.

I just hope the LSU coaching staff has kept Mett isolated from JL/JJ.

I definitely expected one because of how fricking awesome we were this year. We missed an opportunity there and in such an awful way. Does not make up for it. Expectations before the season and two days ago are totally different - for every team.

Maybe you're right. But then again, it is very, very difficult to go undefeated. Hell, Saban has done it all of 1 freaking time.

I thought this year belonged to the Tigers. It may be a long, long before something this special comes along.

Yes I was expecting a title this year. Look at what all we went through and overcame this season. This season was ours, we could've went down in history as one of the best. I feel like NE after losing to the Giants, but it's not that, we got our asses handed to us in our second "home" by one of our most hated rivals...

No, I never expect a title. So when you get this close, it hurts when you can't finish. We lost a lot last night.

It could be 40 or 50 years before we get this chance again.

That's separate from the great year we had. It was a great season.

Then why the frick didn't he play this year. If he is half as good as he is supposed to be he should have been on the field last night.

It doesn't matter man, I does not matter

Being undefeated, the clear cut #1 team yes I was expecting the title. I dont care about next season, I wanted a title this year

And I can deal with losing. I can't deal with losing like that.

Next year our schedule is fairly easy compared to this year..that's why i think it sets up perfectly for a new quarterback

I started believing something special was coming after we beat Oregon, MSU and WVU. It only snowballed as the season went on and we beat Bama at home. Then Arky and UGA. So by this BCS game, I was sure this was LSU's year. We lost the game, take nothing from Alabama's stellar effort, but LSU did not play LSU football and it wasn't just because of their defense.

Not the fricking point

Once you demolish everyone you play and have the only game you've been working towards left which was the ultimate goal the entire team and coaching staff talked about, then yes, I did.
