Every time ive had to fire somebody at work, things improved drastically and i regretted not doing it sooner. I think this will be the same.

This stuff should not surprise anyone.

Our offense has been the exact same no matter who we played for awhile now.

yeah, unfortunately when I fell off the Les train last year, I started becoming negative. Most of my negativity was stating that it seems like we don't attack any teams weakness. We simply line up and say here it comes. Stop it. And when the do, we don't make any adjustments, unless we are within 1 score late in the game and we pick up the tempo.

Most frustrating thing about pulling for that man was it felt obvious that we didn't look for weaknesses to exploit.

Miles was on cruise control at the tune of $4 million+ a year.

I remember that year we lost to auburn, their secondary was garbage and we ran it all night.

Hell, every analyst leading up to the Wisky game this year said LSU's 1 distinct advantage is our receivers vs their DB's.

Said several times it was more than just calling pass plays it was his whole offensive philosophy and that any changes would be worst based on his overall mindset.

Then your average fan that never played or coached would come on here saying the usual stupid stuff and down vote away.

Sometimes you would like to back and bump all the stupid comments made but why bother right, its over anyway

I hope this isn't really true. Isn't this common sense?

What the hell have they been watching film of?

I dont understand how this wasnt common knowledge already.

We would run the same offense against a defense like Ole Miss, as we would against a defense like Bama. We never gamplaned for opponents. Les has admitted such as well. His philosophy was to perfect "his system," and if he did, nobody could stop it.

I knew why Saban was "sad" for Les' firing, that it had to be something selfish. Now we know what it is. He is actually going to have to prepare for us because we will finally be preparing for Bama and Ole Miss and every other opponent. I wouldn't be surprised to see actual halftime adjustments other than "hey, we are up 2 scores, let's play the run, run, pass punt offense".

Just read any Mike gunny comments about less....or Gary crowton....they worked for him. The man was living in the 1960s from a football perspective.

Yeah, Mike Gundy was pretty confident that OSU would have beaten Les and our Tigers in 2011 had they not choked and allowed Bama to backdoor into 1/9/12

Yes, it was all about execution in Miles' world. How many time did we hear "we just have to execute the plays called better"?

I can tell you for a fact that they watched film and worked on tendencies. The players must be referring to the limited practices and larger focus on mental preparation, but they certainly did that too under Miles.

ETA: if they stopped watching film, which I highly doubt, it was a Grimes thing. Still incredibly unlikely

So you're willing to directly contradict two players. This is why you are WRONG all of the time. You ignore evidence that doesn't support your narrative. Less is that you?

I've heard that Miles was crazy on his long practice hours...more so than any coach in the SEC. 3 hours compared to 1.5 for most teams.

One of the first things that was said by folks in the Athletic department after Miles' arrival was that there was far less attention to detail and organization than the previous regime.

Well, anyone that follows Nick Saban pays far less attention to detail than he does.

I was simply dumbfounded by that statement.

It's no wonder the players are so unprepared and unable to adjust at times.

It really reminds me of the DiNardo era where they were holding classroom sessions on the sidelines with the various units.

It's no wonder the program has fallen off so much.

I'm very glad Les Miles is finally gone.

It's not true. THey did watch film, after long practices.

COach O is curtailing practice and increasing film study. This should:
1) let them better prepare to exploit tendencies/weaknesses
2) give them more time to recuperate and less time to injure during practices.
