In all honesty, the only time I was EVER worried about losing was with :39 seconds left and a FG would have won the game.

One lucky arse pass would have done that.

Complete bullshite. Mett should've thrown it to the interior part of the hash. He does that, Shep is able to run away from the DB on the adjustment to the ball. Instead he threw it to the boundary side of the hash and made it an easy play for the AU DB. That throw was poor placement by Mett and it cost us 6 points. He's a good kid and a good QB but that throw was a poorly placed ball and it cost us 6.

I think you are being harsh. Maybe I am being too easy on him. I'll have to go watch the replay.

I have no problem saying the DB made a nice play on the ball.

What happened was that WRs keep dropping balls. Also, bad O-line play.

We ran two vertical routes. One was a bad throw (Mett should've thrown to the inside half of the hash and Shep runs away from the DB. He backed it up and the DB made an easy play) and the other was a drop by a freakishly athletic yet suddenly playing tighter than an over stretched snare drum wide receiver. But Les pulled his usual bullshite media crap. Chucks it 27 times with a majority of easy, conservative boundary passes. Refuses to adjust the blocking schemes he already personally signs off on that Stud comes up with to help his tackles out. It's a serious cause for concern that we won't make teams pay for loading the box and we refuse to adjust protection schemes from the sidelines. That's coaching and that's alarmingly arrogant and it will cost us.

Miles has taken the same approach since he got to LSU. I don't know why it ever surprises people. He wants to grind, punt, and play good defense. He'll take an occasional shot downfield, but will stick with the run game until it is too late. It is the reality of a Miles coaches football team.

RS shouldn't step on the field as a WR the rest of his career. Give the guy some handoffs, but he cannot have much higher than a 50% success rate at catching the ball and that shite is unbearable.

Fly routes and double moves are ok, if the QB has time to throw...

They don't take as much time as everyone seems to think.

A slant and go is a quick read by the QB. Pump the slant, make sure no safety over the top, and loft the ball between the hash and the sideline. It can easily be done on a 3 or 5 step drop.

This is about as succint as I could put it.

Only an insane person would argue against any of that.

checkdowns? checkdowns? do we actually have those now???

Crowturd was HORRENDOUS as he hardly ever used these ...as if JJ or Lee did not need them.

The offensive scheme is still painfully vanilla and predictable. I had higher expectations for this offense. Running straight up the middle when Auburn has 9 in the box is like beating your head against the wall. There is really no point to it. With all the talent on offense the scheme we run is pretty stupid IMO. That team had no business being within 2 touchdowns of LSU.

So we can't score points and our defense is overrated? We drop the rest of our games and compete with the Saints for worst football team in Louisiana.

ULM wins the Natty.

My problem with our rushing attack is the formations we run out of at times. I'm fine with running the ball 65% of the time but the formations bring extra defenders in the box. On 3rd and a long two we get in a double tight end and fullback power formation. Auburn has 10 guys in the box. That play was doomed from the start.

The coaching staff needs to find ways to spread the defense out. There is way too much congestion around the LOS.

Stud and Les need to realize that 3rd and 3,4,5 are not power running downs.

Running into a 10 MAN FRONT is absolutely crazy, but it got a couple of yards so I guess miles thinks it'll eventually work
